You know at least one of the guys will end up getting a deal anyway, like Chris did from TE:1. Jackie's reaction when Linda got called showed that even she thought one girl, one guy. As far as I recall Nidia hasn't had a match of her own yet, she's just escorted Maven down to the ring for a match or two of his. MOOSEN!!! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I cannot believe Jake did not win. You could tell he was about to stand up when they announced the 2nd name. This boy was huge and improved tremendously on his promos. I would say right now, he is better, more athletic than some wrestlers in WWE, including Maven, Spike DUdley and Crash to name a few. They could make a storyline out of Jake. Where he waits the 6-8 weeks training wherever and when Maven gets back he comes and takes out Maven and complains how he got screwed and he starts going off on Al Snow how he sucks as a trainer.  | ||||

Linda was great all-around... Jake should have been in too... And the black guy (I forgot his name) was excellent also, but I think he lacks size and he's got that babyface...  FUCK OBX!!! A bit of a surprise, giving the contracts to the two women, but it's something that pleased me greatly. It gives me hope that someone in the WWF has actually gotten a smart idea in their head, and has actually decided to truly make the women's division more than just meaningless T&A. It's early to give credit, but I'll do it anyway - all hail Fit Finlay! You're making the women watchable. As for Nidia, my take is that they're actually doing the right thing with her (unlike Maven), and actually taking the time to train her right. Either that, or she's just scary not-talented. You're kidding, right? Oh, you're not. Well, Jake sure did LOOK like a pro wrestler. But from what I saw, he wasn't that good. He had a look, sure, but in the ring he wasn't that impressive (they've got a couple dozen guys his size but with better ability in the developments already), and his promos weren't that great. He's not better than Crash, or even Maven, and he most CERTAINLY is not better than Spike. Jake wasn't even as good as Kenny, as most of the trainers subtlely pointed out. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | While it may be the smarter choice in the long run, it is a bit of a pisser....The whole concept of the show was to have one female and one male winner...Sure Jake might not have been that great in the ring(Maven has had more training and is'nt really amazing anyone either) but with some training and polish down in OVW, he could get better....Of course there is always the off-chance that they did'nt hire him now so they could give him a much smaller OVW contract later which would wind up being less of a gamble for them.... Trust Me! | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | I stopped watching TE2 after a few weeks in, when they cut that one guy (forgot his name) for cutting a lousy first promo, even though he was a better athlete and picked up on the wrestling better than everyone else. That was really, really stupid. But I do like the fact that they chose the two women. The WWF needs women who can actually bring it in the ring much more than they need men at this point. From what I remember, Linda seemed to be quite talented, and after a few months of training with Finlay I think she could develop into a nice worker. I don't remember much about Jackie, other than the fact that she's pretty hot, but sticking with it until the end after getting injured shows she's got more balls than most of the guys on that show. I'm actually thinking they might be able to develop a nice women's division in the not-too-distant future, with Jazz, Molly, Trish, and Dawn Marie (who supposedly has developed into a good worker), and now the TE2 chicks.
