| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Story By: Brendan Starr June 28, 2002 -- Some recent rumors state that the original idea which was going through Vince Russo's mind before being hired in WWE was to have a RAW invasion by Eric Bischoff, Mick Foley, Goldberg and Scott Steiner. Although somewhat unbelievable, Russo knew that an invasion by the aforementioned wrestlers would create huge fan interest, which it most likely would. -- After the invasion, Russo himself would "take over" RAW and rename it to WCW Nitro, therefore hopefully returning WCW to its former glory and finalising the split of WWE into Nitro and SmackDown!. Russo also apparently had Shawn Michaels in mind as an added wrestler in the invasion, but as we know, in the end Michaels joined the nWo. After the storyline had run its course, the plan was for Russo would write for RAW while the old writers would write for Smackdown. -- Russo apparently did not reveal his storyline plans until he was hired, for fear of WWE management stealing the storyline and using it without crediting him. Unfortunately for Russo, his telling of the storyline plans after being hired convinced Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, two of the higher-ups in WWE management, to take steps to demote him. The two obviously succeeded, as Russo is not even at the position of creative writer at the moment. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that these plans will ever come to fruition. [/Sarcasm] Syxx was Xpac in the NWO, why not call himself S7even. Hmmmm. I think it is a great idea though. Bischoff, Russo, Steiner and Goldberg would have been ratings gold for Raw regardless how bad they are and everyone hates them. The missing ratings are the fringe fans. The die hards still watch. | Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 02 | jesus. thank god for triple h and steph then. that storyline is horrible. lets examine the logic: hmm we brought in wcw stars last summer...ratings sucked we brought in the NWO.....ratings sucked I know, lets bring in more wcw guys, the ratings are bound to go up. can anyone honestly say they want to watch Goldberg wrestle. come on think about it, his debut will be great but then we have to actually put up with his cheesy shit wrestling and bischoff..what the fuck is russo smoking. the only reason i wopuld want to see bischoff on tv, would be to watch him get powerbombed through tables i admire your honesty, hell i like you, you can come over to my house and fuck my sister | ||||

Oh, and let's put the boss' son in there as head of WCW, and the boss' overexposed daughter as the head of ECW. Fans will eat that up, right? RIGHT? Heh heh. we brought in the NWO.....ratings sucked Let's bring in a group who's popularity peaked five years ago, and include the three oldest members, even though one's an old cripple, one's a drunk, and the other was never any good in the ring to begin with. Then when things don't work out, let's put in a washed-up cruizer with delusions of grandeur (no, really, Sean, you ARE a main eventer!) and a 500 lb. sack of shit. When THAT doesn't work, stick in the black guy, who despite it all, actually becomes OVER and POPULAR. Can't have that, though, so let's stick in a washed up has-been who can't wrestle to deliver a rambling promo about how Rock is holding down HHH and then kick out the black guy. Who is now 10 times more over than the nWo. I know, lets bring in more wcw guys, the ratings are bound to go up. Why not? Things are on a downward slide anyway. It's such a fucking copout to blame WCW. "It's the WCW guys fault!" No, it's the writers inability to come up with one storyline or angle or booking job that isn't fucking retarded. That's what killed WCW, the same old shit over and over again. They never put any effort into the talent in the undercard and their main eventers started to retire or get injured... Russo is a homo and I hope he dies. RVD; Lesnar; Edge; Jericho; Eddie Guerrero! Those are the guys that will be leading the pack soon, and they need to concentrate on those guys instead of brining back assfuck's like Goldberg and Bischoff.  Life Isn't | ||||
