| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01  | I haven't seen anyone with this prediction, but I was thinking. They are hyping Jeff Hardy v. Undertaker for the Undisputed Title in a Ladder Match big time for tonight. On Smackdown, the biggest hype was that, for beating Hogan, Angle was rewarded with getting a title shot on "his" day, the 4th of July, which is Thursday on SD. There are rumors out there that the WWE is planning on giving Angle the world title soon and make him an "old school champ" where he defends against heels and faces (check the rajahwwf.com archives, the rumor, taken from I believe the Torh Newsletter, is in there somewhere). Well, what better night to give Angle's character the belt than the 4th of July? And since they might not want him to start facing heels yet, they might want Angle to beat a face. Taker is facing Jeff Hardy tonight. They are somewhat overhyping it (I know they do that for everything, but they've really gone in overdrive for a fucking Jeff Hardy match). There are also rumors that the Hardys are splitting. Who's to say they won't book a shocking, fluke victory for Hardy tonight (Taker has made him his personal bitch so far, so the setup is there for not only Jeff to finally get his win, but also for Taker to agree to the job, because it would look like so much of a fluke, even HE might agree to it) and then transition the belt to Angle on SD, setting up an easy feud with him and Taker to start off his "facing all challengers" gimmick that has been rumored? I think there's a good chance. So, in the end, don't be surprised if Jeff Hardy is WWE champ by the end of the night. I have warned you. And, hell, besides, I think it'd be a nice gesture to give someone like Jeff Hardy the belt, seeing as how the gay pride parade was yesterday. But, don't worry, Angle will be champ on Thursday if that happens. In the end, ANYTHING that leads Angle to the belt is a good start in my book. 1. 94 Wins and the NL East title 2. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Damn you. Damn you to hell. I was just going to post the same thing. I bet Jeff Hardy wins tonight too. It's true It's true. After Angle wins on Thursday than I guess jeff hardy is on Smackdown. How could they add Matt to Smackdown where we could finally get some action in the tag ranks and get the belts off the 2 fags. I bet than Undertaker gets his match with Angle at Vengeance. Anyone know the reason they are giving that Benoit is on Raw every week and not Smackdown that he was drafted for. | Hanger-On Registered: Apr. 02 | I read this at first i was pissed because i hate these little false title reigns. The WWe has spent the last month's making the Hardys seem weak, so just giving Jeff the title out of nowhere and stripping him of it right away does'nt add any credibuilty to Jeff or the Undisputed title. But Kurt Angle would be a great champ right now, putting the title on him now will improve the main events completely... I just had a vision of Kurt vs. Brock at Summerslam for the strap... shit that would rule, that would be a ppv i'd actually be interested in ordering. Kurt can bring anyone to good to great match (see him carrying Prototypes ass last thursday), and having him feud with the top faces (RVD, Booker, ick Rocky too, ect.) and the top Heels (Eddie, BENOIT, umm Taker ummm no, ect.) will equal RATINGS. Another way to go would have Jeff stay champ for awhile, i happen to like the underdog champion. After a few wins the fans would except him as a champ, the Hardys are among the most over with the younger fans anyway so Jeff will be a draw. I'd like to see him be like a Mikey Whipreck champion, have him get dominated threw most of the match with him pulling off the quick upset victory, if its done rite the main events will be filled with drama and add some sense of importance to the title. Well anyway i'm sure Raw will suck somehow, like i know the Ladder match lets the fans think Jeff has some sort of chance to win and they expect Jeff to do some high risk spots with it... i guess they forgot taker is immoble, he cant do shit with or off the ladder. | ||||

My thinking is because the show is taped, and that they like to save that kind of title change for a live show. By the way, when was the last time that the WWE belt changed hands on tv? Has it happened this year yet?  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | If Angle does win the belt in the near future, we should probably expect some sort of "more or less" face turn. Look at the rosters right now, with Austin out indefinitely, maybe even permanently, there is a serious lack of strong faces. After HHH, the Rock, and RVD they are mostly middle carders (well, at least that's how they are being used). Question is, if this is some sort of "giving the old vet one final run" kind of thing, is Taker really going to job for a hardy?  AIM | ||||

Now, it seems that they are trying to push Booker T back to main eventer status, but it still leaves the face stables woefully thin. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I definitely see Angle getting the belt. This kind of reminds me of the time Mick Foley won the belt on a taped Raw. And Bischoff on Nitro handed mcMahon viewers by saying Mick Foley won the title, who cares, they are taped, blah, blah. I think that was the first night of Nitro's road to ruin. By saying Angle wins the belt on Smackdown all over the internet. WHo is not going to watch it. If they make Rock vs Undertaker for the belt. That would suck. I like the Rock, I respect the Rock. What he did on Raw with that Austin spepch and showing up for King of the Ring was really classy, but it is obvious he will not be working a fulltime schedule. He is trying to pull both off Hollywood and wrestling because he knows where his bread his buttered, but he is going to get burnt out and need breaks from time to time. No way can he be the champ. If ANgle does take the title, who does he defend it against. The only person that comes to mind is Hogan and Angle beat him cleanly already. Jericho is facing Edge. HHH is injured. Undertaker is facing the Rock hopefully with no title involved. Brock Lesnar is facing RVD. WHo is left for Angle? | ||||
