Found this on wrestlingunleashed.com. Also heard Vince on Radio Edit's show this morning and he said he is very intersted and would have PPV matches against WCW talent.

News Headline:

Most sources are now reporting that it is inevitable that the World Wrestling Federation will purchase the WCW film library and also the rights to the name "WCW". The WWF has hired a firm called Sekani to learn how to market all of the video that they will be acquiring. As previously reported by others, a 24 hour wrestling channel could be started up with all of the footage that the WWF is acquiring. However, it is unknown whether or not the WWF will purchase all of the contracts of WCW talent or simply take the contracts of the chosen few that they would like to work for the company. There is also a possibility that the WWF could take over WCW and run it as a separate company, but it is unknown if that will take place. Expect some sort of announcement in the next two weeks regarding this situation from possibly both WCW and the WWF.

The WCW shutdown is being regarded by many as the top wrestling story in the last 30 years. Although this story hasn't gotten the same mainstream attention as the Owen Hart tragedy or the Jesse Ventura election, the WCW shutdown has a larger impact on the wrestling industry than those two strories. Stories by the Associated Press and the Atlanta Journal Constitution in the past week have started to get the national media involved in covering this story, but the coverage hasn't been as strong for this as the other two stories that I mentioned. The implications of the WCW shutdown will be harsh on the industry as a whole because Vince McMahon will now control the industry and competition for the WWF will be scarce at best.

If the WWF does purchase WCW, they will not run any programming for WCW on Monday nights and will be extremely to have Monday nights by themselves without any competition.

Teens, making the world a better place to live in.
