In light of WCW's planned hiatus, the party mood around Spring Break-Out has intensified. If you are in the area, you really should check out the following events:

March 23-26: The Boardwalk Beach Resort will hold free games and activities each day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The interactive experience will feature Mr. and Miss Nitro contests, WCW autograph sessions, "photo ops" with your favorite superimposed WCW celebrity, Breakout Broadcast that lets you be the WCW announcer, free merchandise giveaways and inflatable beach games. Booker T., Shawn Stasiak, DISQO, Chuck Palumbo, Mike Sanders, Kanyon and Nitro Girls Naughty-A, Chae, Starr, Chiquita and Syren are among the WCW superstars attending.

Sunday, March 25: The Spinnaker Beach Club will host a free concert at 8 p.m. by RCA recording artists Vertical Horizon with musical guests Sister Hazel and The Pat McGee Band.

Monday, March 26: The Boardwalk Beach Resort will be the site for WCW Monday Nitro, live on TNT at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET followed by a Thunder taping. WCW Thunder will air nationwide on Wednesday, March 28 at 9 p.m. ET on TBS Superstation. Admission price for the event is $35. Ticket outlets are located at Marina Civic Center, Howard Johnson Bayside, Cooper's News Downtown Panama City, Clutch Rock-n-Roll Cafe at Boardwalk, TGI Friday's on 23rd Street and the Panama City Mall. The BBR will guarantee ticket holders a generous capacity and excellent sight lines to view the exciting event. Fans will witness fierce face-offs between top WCW wrestlers Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner, Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T., Lex Luger, Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, The Cat Ernest Miller, Chavo Guerrero Jr. and many more!

Scott Steiner vs Booker T (Title vs Title)
These two men have spent their lives setting a positive example with their hard work, tireless conditioning and dedication to sports entertainment. Pump and Steiner represent the possibilities wrestling offers every athlete, and the rewards it bestows upon a chosen and special few. Scott Steiner has reported having back pain, but plans to compete Monday.

Bam Bam Bigelow vs Shawn "The Star" Stasiak (Tattoo Match)
If Bigelow wins, Stasiak will get ink, prison-style, from Asbury Park's toughest hombre.

Shane Douglas vs. Rick Steiner

Jason Jett will be in attendance.
Due to his size, officials have not decided whether Jett will ultimately compete as a cruiserweight contender or heavyweight underdog.

Johnny the Bull has been medically cleared.
Johnny the Bull has received a full release for Monday night. Will the Bull make one final appearance this season?

Some unofficial things I have heard:
Scott Steiner is hurting and may not be able to wrestle.
They asked Sting, Goldberg, Hogan and Nash to come back for the show, Hogan flat out refused and Nash said he had no interest. No word on Sting or Goldberg.

I sure hope this isn't the final preview for Nitro. On paper this alone sucks ass like every other Nitro. Hopefully they'll pull out some surprises for their going away party.

I wonder if they'll even mention it's their final show. They didn't acknowledge that it was the last Thunder even on Wednesday.

Skitch, have you been living in a cave?
WCW was bought by the WWF. Their is no "Hiatus" that they have been talking about. WCW Nitro and Thunder are done after this week, and then its the WWF's version of WCW which will take over.

Banger - there's still going to be a hiatus. This is to give the WWF time to negotiate a deal for more TV on TNN - right now TNN is looking to be their most likely option. And while they make that deal, they have to write storylines. Figure out what angles to keep and what to kill. You can't believe that Vince is just going to take WCW as-is. It'll be rewritten till it's actually watchable again - and that goes for Nitro too.

actually banger, i have been following this pretty closely. that is why i said i had heard rumor that we would get one last episode of thunder, which WILL be taped after nitro tonight. i know that vince bought the company, and most of its library, but how can we not have a hiatus with no television channel to air it on??

I thought you were talking about being on hiatus from TNT and TBS, like WCW has been trying to sell. By saying Season Finale of Monday Nitro, when we all know it is really the Series Finale.

now i may make a lot of stupid comments, and my views on the current big stars may be crazy, but i knew that wcw wasn't just taking a few weeks off of tnt/tbs...although it is sure gonna be strange not having an 11pm show to tape next monday night!!
