Thanks to Josh Rey for the following recap of RVD's interview with Brian Fritz today:

RVD vs. Nova - GCW 3/30
Rob said he thought that his match with Nova this past Friday was a good outing for him (he pinned Nova in 14 minutes), and looks forward to returning to Gateway Championship Wrestling in the near future. RVD said that Nova looks ripped these days, claiming that he "went and got himself a new body". RVD suggested that he may look into asking Nova for some advice regarding supplements. "All those good looks didn't get him a victory over RVD (though)," joked Van Dam. He enjoyed his wrestling debut in St. Louis, and was happy to be reunited with "Manager of Champions" Bill Alfonso at the show.

The Whole F'n Wrestling School
Rob's idea of training prospective wrestlers is now in the developmental stages. He said he's been receiving tons of feedback from the public showing interest. He's found the perfect location for his school so now it's just a matter of planning it all out. As more details become available, you'll find them at RobVanDam.com.

WWF Buying WCW
Van Dam believes that the McMahons' purchase of World Championship Wrestling is a great thing for WCW. He believes that it will be interesting with Shane McMahon running the shows and the company running separately from the World Wrestling Federation. Mr. PPV's interest in WCW is as great as it's ever been now that they will be getting a new start. Rob reluctantly admitted that it looks like you're either working for Vince McMahon right now or you're not wrestling on television, but is hopeful that another promotion will step up to the plate.

Internet Rumors
Fritz asked RVD about a couple recent items reported by Dave Scherer. Rob vehemently denies Scherer's claim that the reason he's not in WWF now is because he was asking for too much money. "The Whole F'n Show" said that, at no point, has he ever come close to discussing money terms with the WWF. Scherer also claimed that "some wrestlers in the WWF have gone to management and said that Rob can be hard to deal with." Rob finds it hard to believe that anyone he's worked with would think he's hard to deal with but he goes on to say that, because of the nature of the business, he can believe that some guys would say things like that. RVD does believe there must be a reason why he is not working for the WWF but, with tongue in cheek, suggested that Fritz check with "Scherer's sources" to find out what that reason is. Furthermore, he says a meeting proposed by Jim Ross back in December has yet to take place, despite the fact that good ol' JR has been in Los Angeles at least twice since then.

ECW Invades WWF
Rob saw Rhyno and Spike Dudley in the Wrestlemania pay-per-view. He commented that Rhyno has basically the same personna in the WWF as he did in ECW.

WWF Wrestlemania PPV
Mr. PPV thought the show was pretty good. He enjoyed the Angle-Benoit clash, in addition to the "Ladders and Tables and Bull Whips and Ironing Boards" match. Rob noted the spot where Edge leaped off of a 15-foot ladder and speared Jeff Hardy who was hanging on a cord as the most impressive one of the night.

Shane McMahon using the Van Terminator
Rob noted that this is professional wrestling and wrestlers always duplicate each other's maneuvers. He thought McMahon executed the Van Terminator "very well." He accepts the fact that it can no longer be stated that only one man can perform that move. In fact, RVD looks forward to inventing another move that may prove too athletic for his peers. He appreciates the flattery from Shane using the move, but jokingly said he'd have rather received a phone call instead.

RVD In Person
Friday, April 13 - Wrestling in Salisbury, Maryland
Saturday, April 14 - Wrestling in Norfolk, Virginia
Saturday, April 28 - RVD Appreciation Day Concord, NC

I am psyched, cause I am moving to Concord, NC at the end of the month and will be there just in time for RVD Appreciation Day. I will post a recap on the day for everyone to check out.
