The pre-game show kicked off with a look back at the events leading up to the Triple H/Steve Austin match between the two and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley.

They talked about the Catfight between Stephanie and Trish Stratus. Jonathan Coachman explained that Stephanie would usually be the most dominant female with the support of her family, but the possibility of a relationship between Trish and Vince threatens that.

Clips were shown from Raw of the confrontation in the parking lot between Edge & Christian and the Dudley Boyz and showed how Undertaker and Kane got involved with the two teams.

They then showed clips of Kurt Angle putting the Rock through a table and pinning him earlier in the week.
