I took out all the boring wrestling segments. The rest of it was really good for those who did not see it. Very glad, the APA is doing a major program and it likes Tazz will work something big with Austin.

From 1wrestling.com
HEAT Report for 7/1/01.
Live from WWF New York.
Your Hosts: Michael Cole and Tazz.
Guest Hosts: Faarooq and Bradshaw, the APA.

We start off with Faarooq and Bradshaw playing cards backstage. They lay the verbal smackdown on WCW, showing their disgust at having to share the ring with employees of the Shane McMahon-revived company. However, they agree that as long as the WCW guys mind their p's and q's, there shouldn't be too much of a problem.

We go to the stage for interview, where APA get huge pop. The boys are smoking stogies-no beers, however. Cole asks APA their opinion on WCW-very negative response, to say the least. They mention how some former WCW people, wrestlers and otherwise, will soon have some very nice cars and homes on the market. Cole asks Faarooq, a former WCW employee, what he specifically dislikes about WCW. Response-"Every damn thing and everybody (HUGE pop)". APA pretty much feel WCW is trying to sponge off the WWF since they couldn't keep their own promotion afloat. Cole asks the guys "What if Shane McMahon approached you with a deal offering you anything you want?" Bradshaw states he didn't go to WCW 6 years ago on their initial offer, also didn't go a couple years ago when he had a chance to jump. Says those were the 2 best decisions of his life. Faarooq concurs, also stating the WCW guys have to be ready to stand on their own. Time for commercials.

We get an update on Chris Benoit's condition following neck surgery. VERY nasty-had to have 2 discs removed from his spine. While the operation was successful, we certainly won't see Benoit in the ring again this year. (DAMN and other similar words!)

Faarooq and Bradshaw are once again playing cards backstage. Bradshaw notices Faarooq's nice watch-mentions since WCW guys will be sharing their dressing room starting tomorrow, he'd better get a new lock for his locker.

They then wonder how WCW guys have been gaining access to WWF events. Their consensus-they likely have a mole in their midst! Break!

Tazz, unfortunately, will not be at RAW tomorrow. He's staying in NYC to host RAW at WWF New York. However, he lets Austin know his time is coming. He shoots all over the champ.

Faarooq and Bradshaw take stage. They lay down the law: as long as the WCW wrestlers quit the run-ins and sneak attacks, there's a chance that they and WWF guys can co-exist. BUT WAIT! 2 guys in goofy hats and APA shirts run out from the crowd and lay out the APA! The hats and shirts come off-it's WCW tag-team champs Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo, recipients of the mass WWF but-kicking last week on Smackdown! They take off out of building onto streets of NYC as show ends.

Pretty strong show. However, I really have to wonder storyline-wise how WCW guys can be expected to even get in the arena after this 'totally dastardly and unprovoked attack (nod to FDR) on APA, much less share a WWF dressing room. Should make for a good angle tomorrow night. Matches were solid-would have liked to see Raven win for a change though, besides against jobbers on Metal. If the Germ segment had been cut, this would have been a 'perfect' Heat in my opinion-well, as perfect as Heat gets anyway!
