Tonite could've been done so well! How did they go wrong? let me count it out for you:

1. Christian didn't win the LHW title. The belt is still on Fudge-Pac, who probably wouldn't have it if not for his "off-camera backstage segments" with Pat Patterson.

2. No one got naked, except for Vince. And the only saving grace to that was it was funny as hell.

3. They kicked the crap out of Test (yeah, I know it's fake, but I like Test).

4. The First WCW match on WWF TV? A WCW World HW Title match. C'mon, that's like Mick Foley STARTING a conversation with an Al Snow joke!

5. Just like in the WWF, since it was a World HW title match, a screwjob ending was imminent.

6. C'mon! Buff Bagwell? Gah!

7. WHERE WAS MR. MONDAY NIGHT HIMSELF!

Let's hope SmackDown is better. Geez!

Without going on a tirade, I'll just say that RAW was awful. I had hope that the WCW angle would be a success, but after that?? They have a LOT of work to do...

They really screwed up with the way they did this tonight..i figured they would just have 2 or 3 wcw matches thrown in between throughout the night or something. focusing on title belts really takes away from the actual invasion, and that could have been one of the slowest paced matches i have ever seen. also the announcing was horrific, way too calm and mellow especially when austin and angle ran in.

I totally agree with you Harry. The show was one of the funniest ever, however, I also thought there were gonna be midcard matches thrown into the mix during the night.
I was never really a WCW watcher but if thats the kind of matches they put on then its clear why they went under. What a shitty match. Bagwell is awful.
They need to make the next step, the shock factor of WCW presence on WWF TV has worn off. It seems like the WCW(as well as WWF) announcers were trying hard to sell the significance of the match. They better not blow this.

Well, the match was stale due to Bagwell's rust and lack of creativity. The announce team sucked as well. Arn Anderson? Come on... a man that most know because Sid stabbed him with a pair of scissors? Scott Hudson? Of the announcers I could have tolerated from WCW (Larry Zbysko, Mike Tenay, hell, even Bobby Heenan), I can't believe it was Hudson. Sheeit.. bring out Mark Madden, for god sakes...

WWF just didn't look like itself last night. In fact, it looked a hell of a lot like WCW used to (production-wise).

I turned in only to see what WCW matches would be......... one WCW match.....ONE WCW MATCH WITH FUCKIN BUFFBAGWELL. I was hoping at least Lance Storm, or RVD wrestle but no we were graced with Buff Bagwell.

It even looked like WCW, I guess most of the people at the arena left and only the people in the lower tier stayed, the whole place darkened up. It was a slow match, and the crowd wasnt into it. Arn Anderson is not an announcer, and he should not be one. Hudson has a good voice, and can announce, but why AA, not a good choice. And Buff, comeon, let someone else wrestle, like Hugh Morris, or Kanyon, or even Lance Storm, but not Buff. And where was the cruiser match, I expected to see chavo go for the belt, but nothing. It was pretty disapointing, but maybe smackdown will be better.

Well, to back up mikeWOW here, the WWF portion of the program RULED! It's just that then Buff and Arn Anderson came on my screen, and, oh well. BUT, it should be pointed out that at least the Vince-Torrie-Linda skit at the end partially healed the emotional scars of Bagwell in the main event. I mean, THAT was the funniest shit ever. And the Angle-Austin stuff? Classic.

You know who we have to blame for this? CLEVELAND!!!!! The WWF wasn't gonna sign Buff, but then he got such a great reaction from those douche nozzles the last night of Nitro at the arena where Raw was at in Cleveland, they decided to sign him. They KNEW he sucked, but the crowd wanted him, so they got him. CLEVELAND, I KNOW YOU'RE NEW TO THE BOARD, BUT PLEASE EAT SHIT AND DIE!!!!! ALL OF YOU! FIRST DREW CAREY, THEN ROCKER, NOW THIS! CLEVELAND SHOULD FUCKING BURN!

1wrestling.com is reporting that Vince was so pissed at the WCW show last night, from commentary (I thought AA would be good, BOY, was I wrong) to the match, he's pissed at everybody. Good. Maybe shit will be changed. AND SIGN FLAIR YOU CHEAP BASTARD! Even if it's to do commentary, just let him do SOMETHING!

I agree with most of you. Why the hell would Arn Anderson be picked to do commentary. Even when he was a wrestler I didn't think his promos were too good. Personaly I like Bagwell and think he is a pretty food wrestler but he should have not been in that main event. I too would have liked better to see someone like Lance Storm fight. The build up was so great and it ended up being a huge let down.

I was so excited to see WCW on TV...WHAT A FUCKIN' LETDOWN! ONE MATCH, and it involved BUFF BAGWELL?!?!?!? As much as I hate the guy, I think Steiner vs Booker would have been a better match. I understand ring-rust, but f'n Bagwell couldn't wrestle 3 minutes before putting on back-to-back stalling moves to catch his breath. That was absolutely the wrong way to kick off a promotion. And after all those rumors about Lawler, Van Dam, etc....we get Buff, Arn, and Scott Hudson?

If they want to redeem themselves, Thursday HAS GOT TO HAVE AN EXCITING MATCH (or three). But if you want to bring down the house, let the Backstage Posse turn on Jerry Lynn early in the show for some retarded reason...then, after a good WCW tag team match, around 9:30 or so, you have Jerry Lynn vs. RVD. Then let Stone Cold or someone try to top that in a Main Event...won't happen. WCW, for at least a week, buys themselves some respect. At least you can build on that.

How would you feel about life...if Death was your sister?

it seems to me what everyone wants is RVD. Vince, though, has a habit of teasing the auidence a little longet than he should before releasing a surprise or a new wrestler, and it does kill some of the shock value of said surprise. i hope he dosn't do it with Mr. Monday Night.

God i miss ECW.
