With the taping of Rock's movie "The Scorpion King" recently completed, the superstar is now free to make a WWF comeback. However, at this time there are no plans to rush his return. The WWF plans to do a massive build up before his comeback, which will not be until after the Invasion pay per view. It is certain that he will return by SummerSlam and we are hearing that his first appearance may in fact be at that pay per view. The WWF has not officially confirmed nor denied this story but sources are telling us that The Rock will not be a major player in the WCW/ECW invasion angle, as the peak of that angle would already have passed once he comes back.
With Monday's RAW proving that the WWF can still put on blockbuster shows without the Rock and the fact that WCW is lacking major stars, it is logical to assume that there is a strong possibility of The Rock heading over to WCW once he makes his long awaited comeback.

It will be funny to hear Rock make fun of Booker's ebonics though.

I hear about the Rock coming back, but what about the role that HHH is going to play, and what about the angle with Stephanie as part of the ECW now?

Benoit is history. He will be out a year I hear.

How about this for an angle. The Rock wants to come back and gets offered a job by Shane or Stephanie. He tells them to stick the job offer up both their candy asses and tells tham he has a particular problem to solve. That problem being the biggest ass kissing, boss hugging, gift buying, chair shot finisher having, piece of trailer trash walking on God's green earth and proceeds to layeth the smacketh down on Stone Cold's ass. If you detect the aroma of the Rock's culinary acheivements.

I really was getting sick of the rock before he left, but with everything going on in the WWf right now it would be cool to have him back

As some people have stated on this board, Rock's probably going to come back at Invasion or shortly thereafter. WWF will most likely be losing the battle and Rock will be the savior.

HHH won't be back for several more months, this angle may have played out by then, so probably won't be a factor.

Ok, so JR keeps teasing who will Shane pick for the WCW Invasion team, right? How's this fantasy angle:

July 16th, RAW: Shane- "So, everyone wants to know who's going to be my team at Invasion, ok I'll tell ya. From ECW, Lance Storm and Rhyno, from WCW Diamond Dallas Page, and the WCW Champ, Booker T. And one mystery partner that I'm gonna make you wait for!"
July (17th)19th, Smackdown: tease, tease, tease... maybe Steiner or Sting shows up to get in the mix, but it's not him...
July 22nd, Invasion: Team WWF gets introduced, 5 intros- awful. Team ECW. Team WCW. Here comes the money Shane O Mac- "and now, you've all been waiting for our 5th member. Here he is!"
"If you SmEEEEEEEElll... what the ROCK is cookin'!"

I know, never happen. And it wouldn't make sense. But we dream...

Actually the rock on team wcw makes absolute sense. He was "suspended indefinately" by Vince and the storyline could go that he was fed up waiting for his suspension to be revoked and decided to join WCW.

How about Austin being so distraught now, Vince needs someone else to replace him at the PPV. As of SUnday there is still no replacement and no one knows where Austin is. Out comes the Rock to a huge pop. Rock helps the WWF a lot and beats down WCW/ECW guys and than during the match, Rock drops the rockbottom on say Angle or Jericho and goes over to WCW. Next night on Raw Rock explains his actions for saying he was suspended from the WWF, so f the WWF, I will go to WCW. Vince books a match between the Rock vs Jericho. Rock and other WCW/ECW guys start beating on jericho. Out comes Kane and Undertaker and Angle, the rest of ECW/WCW guys come out just like Smackdown. Then just as raw is about to leave the air, you hear the glass and Austin comes out and starts swinging chairs left and right and stuns people left and right. Finally he hits Rock with the chair and stuns him. Drinks bber and raw goes off the air.

There is your main even t for Summerslam. Rock with WCW vs Austin for the WWF.

Very minor Rock update, probably nothing new:
I just got the August issue of DirecTVSports Magazine. The Rock and Summerslam are on the cover; inside it say this:
"Sunday August 19th will be a big day for the millions... and millions... of the Rock's fans as the WWF superstar makes his return to the ring. He headlines WWF SummerSlam and you can see it all...(etc.)"

Im sure WCW appreciated him hitting their own guys with a pool stick and having him stun everybody. He will stay with WWF hopefully, if anything...i see the Rock coming back, but as a WCW-ite. It would make much more sense then having Austin go to WCW after last night's occurance.

What about Jericho. He was on WCW for a long time before he came to WWF. Jericho defecting would be a great twist.

I think we can all agree on something... SOMEONE will jump ship and cost a team the win. Now we can speculate on who that might be, but lets watch and find out.
