Hulk Hogan's as-yet-unnamed start-up promotion will be doing a pilot TV taping at Universal Studios Florida on August 8. As we've talked about before, the ultimate goal is to try to put together a weekly show sometime later this year, but for now, think of this as a test run.

Don't expect any of the really big name WCW stars to accept AOL/Time Warner buy-outs to work for Hogan... but guys like Curt Hennig, Scott Hall, Roddy Piper, and Randy Savage would all be in the clear to work for the group (though Savage has been publicly cool to the idea of working for Hogan), as would most of the usual suspects (Brutus Beefcake, Nasty Boys, et al). There were also rumors going around that Hogan had secured help from celebs like Shaquille O'Neal and Jay Leno for his start-up effort (though I'll believe that when I see it). (Thanks to Wrestleline)

You didn't catch them in WCW in the mid to late 90's either? What's the matter with you.

But the name WCW (AKA WheelChair Wrestling) is already taken...what will they call this one?

Dad: Where do you get your values? From that stinking heavy metal music you listen to day and night?
Joe: Yeah, that's it, man. It's all the music! You know everything is just fine until we just listen to a couple of heavy metal albums. Then we get all fucked up!

Ive just received a transcript from the First Booking Meeting at Hogan's Headquarters.

HOGAN: Ok brudder. Heres whats going to go down. We take our top guys, and make them go up against me. I will no sell their moves, and then they will job to me. I will be the Champion, and then I will turn heal and face Jay Leno at the Pay Per View brudder.

BISCHOFF: Sounds like a plan to me.
