| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | MEANT TO SAY "NEW" Timeslot!!!!! - As previously reported, the new WWF show will be starting August 25 beginning at 10PM till midnight on Saturday night. The National Network has been listing the new timeslot under "WWF Entertainment." Sources close to this situation say that the show will start off as a SmackDown!/RAW type show with all three WWF, WCW, and ECW involved in a huge storyline, and once the show becomes a regular "must-see" show, the WWF will slowly eliminate itself from the show letting WCW/ECW officials take over. Now that the WWF has advertised WCW and ECW on both RAW and SmackDown!, the WWF feel ratings could possibly go back to normal once they run all WWF shows on Monday and Thursday. The WWF would then most likely advertise WCW/ECW matches on WWF TV for Saturday's program. If this does indeed happen, that would mean stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin would probably switch back to WWF, or possibly move with WCW/ECW Alliance. The two promotions will most likely use the timeslot to their advantage by incorporating some "extreme" elements that made ECW so famous. It is still not known whether the two promotions will be involved with each other, or have separate angles/storylines. More information on this story should become available in upcoming weeks. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | All I can say is thank you TNN...I am so glad that I can see more of the young WCW and ECW guys wrestle. I miss seeing Chavo (sure he is on heat, but that show sucks) and I can never find Jakked or Metal which has some of the other young guys on. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I am sorry guys but if you read WWF.com's press release it does not state anything about it being an ECW type or WCW type show with extreme matches...It will be a more adult oriented type of show like livewire or superstars it will mainly be a recap show. | ||||
