| Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00  | I've been playing bass now for about 7 years and about 3 years ago my private instructor told me to listen to a guy named Jaco Pastorius. Now if you have or haven't heard of him I strongly suggest you check this guy out. You can find his stuff on napster under his name or a band named Weather Report which is the band he started out with. This guy has had a tremendous influence on the way I play. He used alot of harmonics. Some of the songs I can suggest are: "Potrait of Tracy" (all time fave, pretty much all harmonics) "Teen Town" (Weather Report) "Birdland" (Weather Report) Alot of the guys you hear today came around because of Jaco.
