Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Here's my list: Ice Cube, Chuck D, NWA, Geto Boys, Guru (or Gangstarr), Digable Planets, and the Blast-master KRS-1. Ice Cube totally rules b/c I heard him in some interview in the last year or so and he compared today's rap superstars w/ the cheesy glam-metal rock stars of the late 80's. Basically his point was that rappers today have gotten as ridiculous, self-indulgent, and ostentatious as the 80's hair-farmers. Josh

O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | I have to say Wu Tang Clan is best consortium of rappers out there. Yeah they've fallen off a bit but I keep coming back to the WU (or almost any WU projects) for one of kind beats. I've been hooked since "Protect ya neck". When ever the group release an album I'm the first online to get in the stores. And if you think about it, it's the only good thing to come out of Staten Island. ;) On another note, I'd recomend any Rap fan no music fan to get Bobby Digtal/RZA's Digital Bullet. His beat and lyrical skills bring you to like the year 3001. Any Wu product, far superior to bling bling rapper these days.

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | I respect that its your opinion but i really dont think Jay-Z should be considered one of the greatests rappers of all time....reasonable doubt and vol. 1 were hot but everything after has been garbage....jay-z has been way too commercialized as of late and has really fallen off.

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Eminem def receives honorable mention though...he gets a lot of shit for being corny and fake but he def has alot of talent and respect in the rap industry. Anyone who doubts him, should download samples of him in the rap olympics a few years back which i believe he won. A premeire freestylist.
