Todd Bryan Eckhardt 9/9/1971 - 11/14/2001 All of us in the Epitaph/Hellcat family would like to extend our deepest, most heartfelt sympathies to Todd's family, friends and fans. Nothing can prepare us for situations such as these and we want to a moment to remember Todd and our memories of him as a person, friend and musician. Here is the official statement from the band: Bassist and songwriter for the Washington D.C. band, The Pietasters, died in his sleep of a viral heart infection this past Wednesday. He will be remembered by his family, friends and fans worldwide through his music, and for his talent, wit, and humor. Lead singer and best friend Steve Jackson issued the following statement "Todd will be missed by everybody. Everybody who ever had the pleasure of meeting Todd instantly became his friend for life." Former manager John Coster adds, "We are all devastated by this and will always remember Todd for the special person he is. Todd was one of the happiest people for me when my son was born. He ran out and got him some punk rock t-shirts He wanted him to be the baddest baby on the block. His memory will always live on in his amazing music". Visitation is being held Sunday, November 18th at Miller Funeral Home, Woodbridge, VA, from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Matthew¹s Lutheran church in Woodbridge, VA on Monday, November 19th at 10 am. Please contact Slugtone@aol.com for any additional information.
