Why the f*ck is Korn on this list?

And why shouldn't Fugazi be on the list? They have definitely influenced a lot of mainstream bands and have done it all on their own.

Anyway, from the bands that O/A say they like on the air, O/A seem to have really crappy taste in music.

Did Steve C or Dru Boogie make the list?

This is just my opinion, but Korn are a bunch of no-talent hacks. The fact that they were responsible for a slew of bands that sound like complete garbage is no reason to put them on a list of greatest bands of all time.

Have you heard their first album? They have plenty of talent, but decided to become more mainstream friendly and bland so MTV and Top 40 radio would play them. Their influence has negatively affected the hard rock/metal genre, and calling them one of the 50 best bands ever is a total joke.

Is this list online anywhere?

They should definatly be in the top 50.

The ramones aren't the second greatest band ever. Are they great? Yeah, but every song is the same thing. They revolutionized music, and culture at the time, but their songs were all the same thing. I would put them in the top 10, but not #2.

And yeah YMB, they have terrible taste in music.

What a joke your post is!! Yeah Korns music is just so mainstream!!! Have you even listened to there cd's? There main claim to fame is they brought music that was never meant to be mainstream to the mainstream. Shawn

Shawn, I have heard their CD's. All of them. Their first was great, the rest have been poppy rap-rock, all nicely shined up and sanitized for the kiddies.

What are you trying to say? It seems like
you're trying to say that Korn isn't mainstream,
while also saying that they are mainstream.

Anyway, they didn't revolutionize music at all,
and there were bands before them who had
the rap/metal sound. Korn just so happened
to have an image to market to the flocks of
sheep who watch MTV, and that is probably a
big factor in their success. Anyway, their later
stuff sounds like electro-dribble with those
stupid electronic drum beats and
over-produced guitar tracks.

As for the comments about the Doors not
being on the list, I'm glad they aren't on it. I
think that the Doors was one of the most
overrated bands in history.

In any case, Nirvana was on the list, but the
Melvins weren't. Go figure.

Josh

I really want to know what they are basing this list on. There's some bands on here that I just don't agree with. Even though I like them, they don't belong in the top 50 or all time.

Yeah Korns first CD was so mainstream it was a certain MTV hit. Writing a song about being Raped by your father is exactly what MTV was looking for. PLEASE!!!!! If you think Korn is some market MTV band then you are seriously lacking some music history knowledge. Your right there was rap/rock bands before Korn but korn is not The RHCP or Faith No More. They are a metal band that had a rap influence. They used guitar sounds that nobody was using. You can't honestly tell me there was any band like korn in 1994? There wasn’t'! There was Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, AIC and every band that wanted to be just like them STP,Bush, Candle Box ETC ETC. I am not saying korn is some great band but they easily have changed music. I think they changed it for the worst because most bands today are just a bad rip off of Korn. Shawn
