Think back to when you were a kid. Everyone had a show that they never missed. We all sang songs from these shows and watched reruns over and over.
Those were the times when days were filled with fun and laughter. Take a minute to share the song or songs that you liked to sing and enjoyed as a kid! Theme songs too :)

Sunny Day

Sunny day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet.

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street

Come and play
Everything's A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That's where we'll meet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street

It's a magic carpet ride
Every door will open wide
To happy people like you--

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street...

How to get to Sesame Street
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Bugaloos
The Bugaloos
The Bugaloos
We're in the air and everywhere
Flyin' high
Flyin' loose
Flyin' free as a summer breeze
The Bugaloos
The Bugaloos
We're climbing high and diving low
Through the sky
Across the land
Straight to you with a helping hand
Ready with a helping hand
(Kazoo solo!!!)
We are friends indeed
Should you need
If you ever need
The Bugaloos
The Bugaloos
We're in the air and everywhere!!!
Flyin' high
Flyin' loose
Flyin' free like we all could be
Let's see if I can remember this one...my favorite show:
Open up the window
Listen to the wind blow
Pardon us,
The garden is
Where we'll be
Lots of things to play here
So why don't you stay here
Come and see our garden grow...hello
Come and see out garden grow
See! That's at least close--Pot doesn't affect your memory too much LOL
(that's the Magic Garden for anyone too young to remember)
I stand alone on the cliffs of the world,
no-one ever tends to me.
Sitting alone covered in breeze.
Some things are so my mind can breathe.
The waiting is hard, fuckin' takes so long.
Draped in sun, hands in sand.
Earth acid cleanses me.
It cleanses me clean, but the world it never comes(Kyuss, Space Cadet)
Anyone remember The Great Space Coaster?
It's The Great Space Coaster
Get on board
On The Great Space Coaster
We'll explore
a comet ride to fantasy
to a place where dreams fly fast and free
With new friends and new things to see
we'll spin you through the galaxy
On The Great Space Coaster Off we go
Get on board step inside
soaring for a magic ride
Going to the other side
where only rainbows hide
On The Great Space Coaster
Off we go
I used to LOVE Sesame Street..in fact I still sleep with an Ernie doll (sshh stop laughing). Remember these shows:
Won't You Be My Neighbor?
© 1967, Fred M. Rogers
Click to listen to the song.
It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...
It's a neighborly day in this beauty wood,
A neighborly day for a beauty.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...
I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.
So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.
Since we're together we might as well say:
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please,
Won't you please?
Please won't you be my neighbor?
Also remember Gummi Bears??
All I've undergone
I will keep on
Underneath it all
We feel so small
The heavens fall
But still we crawl
All I've undergone
I will keep on
Here you go FMFB!
Gummi Bears Theme Song
Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly,
With stories to share.
All through the forest,
They sing out in chorus,
Marching along,
As their song fills the air.
Gummi Bears,
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare,
They are the Gummi Bears.
Magic and mystery,
Are part of their history,
Along with the secret,
Of gummiberry juice.
Their legend is growing,
They take pride in knowing,
They'll fight for what's right,
In whatever they do.
Gummi Bears,
When a friend's in danger they'll be there,
Lives and legends that we all can share,
They are the Gummi Bears,
They are the Gummi Bears,
They are the Gummi Bears!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How about this one!

As your body grows bigger
Your mind grows flowered
It's great to learn

It's Schoolhouse Rocky
That chip off the block
Of your favourite schoolhouse
Schoolhouse Rock!

Theme from G.I. JOE

He'll fight for freedom wherever there's trouble,
G.I. Joe is there!
G.I. Joe! (a real American hero!) G.I. Joe is there!

It's G.I. Joe against Cobra the enemy, fighting to save the day!
He never gives up, he's always there, fighting for freedom over land
and air!
G.I. Joe! (a real American hero!) G.I. Joe is there!

Spoken:
G.I. Joe is the code name for America's daring, highly-trained
special-mission force. It's
purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra: a ruthless, terrorist
organization
determined to rule the world.

He never gives up, he'll stay 'til the fight's won,
G.I. Joe will dare!
G.I. Joe! (a real American hero!) G.I. Joe!

I'm from the SchoolHouse Rock era:

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up words and phrases and clauses.
Conjunction Junction, how's that function?
I got three favorite cars
That get most of my job done.
Conjunction Junction, what's their function?
I got "and", "but", and "or",
They'll get you pretty far.

"And":
That's an additive, like "this and that".
"But":
That's sort of the opposite,
"Not this *but* that".
And then there's "or":
O-R, when you have a choice like
"This or that".
"And", "but", and "or",
Get you pretty far.

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up two boxcars and making 'em run right.
Milk and honey, bread and butter, peas and rice.
Hey that's nice!
Dirty but happy, digging and scratching,
Losing your shoe and a button or two.
He's poor but honest, sad but true,
Boo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up two cars to one
When you say something like this choice:
"Either now or later"
Or no choice:
"Neither now nor ever"
Hey that's clever!
Eat this or that, grow thin or fat,
Never mind, I wouldn't do that,
I'm fat enough now!

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up phrases and clauses that balance, like:
Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
He cut loose the sandbags,
But the balloon wouldn't go any higher.
Let's go up to the mountains,
Or down to the sea.
You should always say "thank you",
Or at least say "please".

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up words and phrases and clauses
In complex sentences like:
<"In the mornings, when I am usually wide awake,
I love to take a walk through the gardens and down by the lake,
Where I often see a duck and a drake,
And I wonder as I walk by
Just what they'd say if they could speak,
Although I know that's an absurd thought.">

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up cars and making 'em function.
Conjunction Junction, how's that function?
I like tying up words and phrases and clauses.
Conjunction Junction, watch that function.
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.
Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.
Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.

...but I can appreciate some good old Sesame Street Classics too...

Oh, I love trash!
Anything dirty or dingy or dusty
Anything ragged or rotten or rusty
Yes, I love trash

I have here a sneaker that's tattered and worn
It's all full of holes and the laces are torn
A gift from my mother the day I was born
I love it because it's trash

Oh, I love trash!
Anything dirty or dingy or dusty
Anything ragged or rotten or rusty
Yes, I love trash

I have here some newspaper thirteen months old
I wrapped fish inside it; it's smelly and cold
But I wouldn't trade it for a big pot o' gold!
I love it because it's trash

Oh, I love trash!
Anything dirty or dingy or dusty
Anything ragged or rotten or rusty
Yes, I love trash

I've a clock that won't work
And an old telephone
A broken umbrella, a rusty trombone
And I am delighted to call them my own!
I love them because they're trash

Oh, I love trash!
Anything dirty or dingy or dusty
Anything ragged or rotten or rusty
Yes, I love, I love, I love trash!

"Going For A Ride"
performed by the Anything Muppets
words and music by Joe Raposo and Jeffrey Moss

Oh I'm going for a ride
Gonna sit behind the wheel
Gonna drive along the road
Oh how happy I will feel
And I'm gonna toot my horn
Gonna travel near and far
I'm going for a ride
Going riding in a car
And a car goes vroom...
And a car goes vroom...
And a car goes vroom...
Gonna travel near and far
Going riding in a car

Oh I'm going for a ride
And I'm never going back
Gonna be an engineer
Gonna speed along the track
And you'll hear my whistle blow
And I'm happy to explain
That I'm going for a ride
Going riding on a train
And a train goes woo...
And a train goes woo...
And a train goes woo...
And I'm happy to explain
I'm going riding in a train

Oh I'm going for a ride
I'm gonna sail the ocean blue
And I'm gonna be a captain
And I'm gonna have a crew
Gonna sail the seven seas
On the water I will float
Cause I'm going for a ride
And I'm riding in a boat
And a boat goes toot...
And a boat goes toot...
And a boat goes toot...
On the water I will float
Going riding in a boat

Yes, I'm going for a ride (vroom)
Yes, I'm going for a ride (woo)
Yes, I'm going for a ride (toot)
Yes, we're going for a ride

--------------------------------------------------
and who could possibly ever forget...

"C" Is For Cookie
as sung by Cookie Monster (Frank Oz) (duh!)
written by Joe Raposo

[Now what starts with the letter C?
Cookie starts with C
Let's think of other things
That starts with C
Oh, who cares about the other things?]

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C

[Hey you know what?
A round cookie with one bite out of it
Looks like a C
A round donut with one bite out of it
Also looks like a C
But it is not as good as a cookie
Oh and the moon sometimes looks like a C
But you can't eat that, so ... ]

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me, yeah!
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C, yeah!
Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C, oh boy!
Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C!

(Cookie Monster eats the cookie)
