| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00  | I just saw a new 311 video, and it makes me sad. First thing, they used to kick ass, and I'm talking before "down," and that other song hit big. Its ponderous to see the shit they trot out there now and to think that I liked them a lot a while ago. Its sad when a band "sells out" or takes their sound "commercial" only to be much worse off a few years afterwards. Can you guys think of any other groups that have done this, and that disapointed you for it? | ||||

But when you think about it from the bands perspective, selling out and playing songs that are radio friendly and will spread there fanbase out doesn't sound like such a bad idea. You gotta think of it this way, if you had the opportunity to go from playing shows for maybe 100 people and pulling in a few bucks from it to playing shows for thousands of people and making a shitload from that and record sales, would you do it? Hell, if I had the opportunity I would jump on it without even thinking about it. But I wouldn't change my style so drastically.
