I'm probably gonna get a lot of flack for this, but I don't care...
Radiohead. Worst show, EVER. Their two openers SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED!!!!! Then, they came on, and they had these huge strobe lights pointed at the audience, so it was very difficult to look at the stage... AND they didn't play Creep! It was fucking awful! I didn't even stay to the end! I'm really glad the tickets were free! I would have been REAL pissed if I payed to be put through that!

It's a toss-up between Toad the Wet Sprocket and
Monster Magnet. TTWS was playing at the Horde
Festival, where I saw Primus, Beck, and I think Tool...but
TTWS SUCKED ASS! Monster Magnet opened for Rob
Zombie and maybe three people were cheering.
Everyone else was waiting for Zombie to come on.

The fucking Wallflowers. It was the summer they put out their first album and my girlfriend wanted to see them. So being the good boyfriend that I was, I bought tickets for her. They were to open up for the Counting Crows, who I wanted to see. We get to the Waterloo concert tent and they were on stage already and we were 15 minutes early. We were told we missed one song. Ok fine. They stood up there motionless and just rattled their songs out from the new album. Being a singer and self taught, average guitar player and drummer, I am a full time critic of music. They just had no life to them. I've seen garage bands play in local pubs with more enthusiasm. Jakob didn't even sound that great. It burns me up how people can get into the industry if they are related to someone or know someone but have no talent. Anyway, They played for another 45 minutes and walked off. Everyone was cheering for an encore and they never returned. Then everone was cheering for the Counting Crows to come out and a roady came out and anounced that they wouldn't be performing that night. I was pissed. It took me another two hours to get out of the parking lot. Not a good night, or memory.

....End of rant.

Sorry if this sounds like it should be in the FU thread.

my mother got some free tickets to see Willie Nelson's Picnic at PNC, so i figured what the hell, i'll check it out. i got there when the show started to find a decent spot on the lawn and plopped myself down. little did i know that there were about 4 or five different acts that were scheduled to play for about an hour each before Willie came out. at about 10 o'colck, still no Willie but he was scheduled to come on right after Mary Chapin Carpenter who had just started. i had enough of the goddamn country music. i couldn't take it anymore and took my stoned ass home...

I saw White Zombee back in 96 god it was horible. Rob had no voice here is what it sounded like for example (every song was like this)

rob...More human..
crowd.. then human
rob.. more human
crowd.. then human.

He sang the first couple of words to evry song then put the mic to the crowd. It just sucked

FUCK YOU TEQUILA

Jethro Tull, saw them about two years ago at PNC, it's a good thing lawn seats were half priced or I would have been really pissed.

Oh, but Danked-

Weren't you glad they had BOTH kinds? Country AND Western? *puke*

That Old Gag...j/k. You know I feel for you man.

The worst band I have ever seen was called "Major Deegan" (worse than the road itself :))

They should have been called "Major Assholes" cuz they sure were. I only had the dubious privilege of seeing them (shudder) because they were opening for my then husband's band.

I will never forget..the horror..THE HORROR........................................:(

Worst Band I ever saw was easily Gren. They opened for the Ramones a few years ago. The big biker guys were threatening to riot around us, the band just started flipping off the crowd because we were screaming how bad they sucked. Hell, I wouldn't have realized they were covering Berlin's Metro if they hadn't said it.

My freshman year of college I saw Papa Roach open for Zao and Boysetsfire in this small Maryland club. They were REAL bad. Can't stress BAD enough. They played 2 and half songs then had to bounce off the stage cuz all the hardcore kids were tossing bottles at them. I can't believe out of all the bands I saw back in the day, they're the ones who ended up on MTV and the mainstream radio.

Oh yeah, God Bless anyone who quotes Blues Brothers in a post.

I don't know. I saw Deftones a couple years ago at the Warped Tour in Asbury and they were crazy. I was front stage right and the singer jumped the barracade in the middle of the song and finished the song singing as he crowd surfed. That was only my opinion though.

Green Day at the Roseland in '97, the only show I ever walked out of. The crowd was a bunch of 13 year olds with thier parents and the band was boring as hell. Thank God I didn't pay for the tickets or I would have been really pissed.

Probably PJ Harvey, opening up for Live at the Garden State Arts Center back in 1995 or the Meat Puppets opening for Blind Melon at Rutgers back in 1993ish.

This is a hard one, I saw Big Head Todd, in a 3000 seat arena at college, 1000-1500 people left by intermission. Mr. Big opening for Rush was painful. Saw then at the Knick in Albany, they were boo'd off the stage. But worst of all I think may have been the Spin Doctors. They played with the Gin Blossoms and Cracker. SD was the headliners, people started booing and almost everyone left, that was at SPAC, at least GB and Cracker were good.

two-thirds of the bands who played the first March Metal Meltdown in Convention Hall in 98. some of the bands that played were truly awful, only really great performances came from Biohazard, ETC, Candiria, 1 minute silence, and Hatebreed. even Sepultura really really sucked, i had to walk out on them, if anyone was there, they'll know what im talkin about.....
