| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I tuned into MTV because they were actually playing videos and saw the video for schism. Fuckin Awesome. Not surprising since all of their videos have been incredibly creative and have pretty much kicked ass. 99% of music videos are shit, its all just multiple camera angles and stupid ass fish-eye lenses of bands lip-syncing. Like, the previous video was for a Fuel Song and all it was was the lead singers lame ass singing in some room with the camera angles changing every 2 seconds and I felt dumber for watching it. Then the tool video came on and just fuckin rocked. Tool is not concerned with getting their faces on TV or self-promotion. They look at the music video as a creative way of expressing their music and other bands should learn this mentality. Then again, since MTV doesn't really play videos anymore, all the shit that I just said doesn't make a fuckin difference anyway. I'm not gonna describe the Tool Video because it won't do it justice, but it proves that a music video can still be high art and not just a commercial for the album. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | i saw the video today also. i was totally surprised when i turned on MTV and they were playing videos. i guess they are promoting MTV2. anyway, the video fucking rules. i was captivated watching it. too bad it probably won't get any play on that god-awful channel. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I've seen the video about 10 times on MTV2. On their variety music shows they show 1 good video out of 20 or so. On their 1 hour rock show it is usually 1 out of 3 or 4. So must of their videos suck ass. However the Tool video is just amazing. Definitely download it if you can. | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Maynard attened the Kendall College of Art & Design. He's supposedly a great artist, that's probably one of the reasons why thier videos are so different, and totally kick ass...very fucking cool the new video. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | It is definitely a great video from a great band. All Tool videos and songs are amazingly deep and twisted. They actually believe in their art, which is something new in the era of fish-eye camera lense party videos that really are a commercial for shitty albums. Good point, Barrel.
