With the boy bands being less accepted I think (and hope) it is on it's way out. Where do you think popular music will go next? What will have the america waste it's money on next?

I see watered down rock as the next big fad. Coporate rock all over again.

Oh it's already happening and I hate that even more than the boy bands. Some examples: Nine Days, Goo Goo Dolls, BBMak...ect. ect. God help us all.

Yes, unfortunatly Corporate rock is makin a comback. When everything else seems to fail, they force some shit on us that they think we will love. But the smart will see right through that and we will again have a musical revolution.

Can't think of yet what it should be called but Stoner/Doom rock...it's way underground right now but getting bigger-- Bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Clutch, etc. etc. are just the beginning, the new Black Sabbath album may help (check out www.stonerrock.com for good music)
There's tons of bands out there doing this

Actually, I hope it doesn't get big cuz then it'll eventually get watered down...it's pure right now

Behind every good man there is a woman, and that woman was Martha Washington man, and everyday George would come home, she would have a big fat bowl waiting for him, man when he come in the door, man she was a hip, hip, hip lady, man.

I've adopted FN, um, I mean Fuggin Moron into the School of Altered Reality...he's a little slow so be nice :)

i think shitty ass rock ballads (no not 80s) that involve relationship problems are once again going to reign supreme. just look at Staind and Fuel as prime examples, i know alot of people in here dig them but i think its just untalented generic garbage thats been done SOOOO many times before. itd be sweet if Clutch and bands in that kinda vein got big, but i doubt it.....

Maybe I'm alone here, but I really could give a rat's ass what the latest fad is. I listen to what I like, and ignore that which I don't. If MTV, Top 40 radio stations, and record labels wish to pollute the ears of America's youth with mindless watered down drivel, I say, let them. I know better. Musical taste should not be driven by what happens to be popular at the moment, it should be based on personal aesthetics. This is why I would rather buy a bucket of elephant shit than a Christina Aguilera CD.
