this should be cut down to a genre like rock albums or last 40 years ya know?

Cause honorable mentions go the pioneers who came before the beatles created the "concept album" Because it was mostly just someone with a number one hit or two or three and they would take a bunch of songs written by others and surround the hit songs and make an album.

Some people never had a defenitive album but special mentions to greats like

Robert johnson, louis armstrong, billie holliday, frank sinatra, bing crosby, miles davis, chuck berry, jerry lee lewis, buddy holliday and on and on.

In honor of I rooned it's thread on Who's next, I thought I'd bring this back to top.

Like a tool, I don't have my list thought up except for no 1

- Who's Next.

(Quadrophenia would also be on there, except I think i'll try to limit one per band)

I sure hope you're kidding...

Korn-because they have one really good album and a lot more not so good ones...
Metallica "Black" because it's commercial garbage...
Aerosmith because they never really had standout albums, and are now a shadow of their former fucked up greatness...
