Type O Negative - Black Sabbath (fromn Satan's perspective)
Pantera - Electric Funeral Pyre
Primus - NIB
Bruce Dickenson - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

Black Sabbath is one of my all-time favorites band but the recording technology in the 70's didn't do them justice, so when their songs get covered they usually sound much better.

Ugh, Pearl Jam doing Rockin in the Free World?! I didn't listen to Neil Young for like 2 years after seeing him play with them at the VMA's I was so disgusted at him for sinking to that level

I'm biased, I hate anything Pearl Jam does, and to tell the truth I'm not a big fan of cover songs anyway, I find that 9 times out of 10 they can't even begin to do the original justice.

But here's another few great ones for you:

Eric Clapton - Cocaine
Cream - Crossroads
The Doors - Gloria

I hate them with a passion. I can't stand Eddie Veddar, I think they lyrics suck, he can't sing, just everything about them irritates the hell out of me.

i agree that pearl jam suhuhuuhuhucks. i can't think of one intersting thing they've ever done. they always sound like they're not putting very much energy into what they do. i also think that when they got popular, they were basically jumping on a bandwagon. the stuff they did had been already been done for a number of years. i think they're just BORING.

as for metallica, i think they should have hung it up after load/reload. i can't stand lars' drumming either. he plays the same beat for every song!

corpsegrinder- i forgot about that slayer cover of inna godda. that rules!
