Spitfire responded in the way she's used to responding.. because saying "I'll probably get tooled on for this but it's just a joke" is the same as saying, "I know I shouldn't post this but I'm going to anyway" If you have the foresite to realize people are going to rip on you for posting something then post it anyway...THEN get pissed when people rip on you even though you knew it was going to happen, you are just going to give the impression that you came here to start trouble. I responded with humor, partially to diffuse the situation, but I did warn you to back off. Now so far you've handed a half assed apology to spit, then gotten pissed when people came in (and admitedly overlooked your apology) and told you to apologize... now instead of pointing out to them that you allready did, you start with them? I hate to tell you this, but that "Someone tooled on me and I fought back. maybe a bit to hard but I always take that extra step beyond" attitude won't fly here. You see, most of the people you're taking that extra step beyond with have allready proven themselves to be valued members of this board... you're still just trying to earn your wings. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | It's just something about someone new to the board acting tough while spouting the "it's just a message board" statement that grates on my nerves.. it's something that comes across to me as "this is my internet persona.. since I don't feel I need to worry about physical repercussions to my statements I can be really mean, strong, and insulting and not care about it" and usually people who exibit that attitude you seem to be exibiting in this thread just signed up to cause trouble. This may not be the case with you, but that's how it's coming across to me. If you want to participate and be a member, fine.. just realize that when a vet tools on you there is, as I said, usually a good reason, and it's probably something you might want to learn if you want to be a regular member here.
