I'm a yankee fan but just wanted to pass this along to you Met fans....
Since the mets are playing extrodinary baseball as of late there still alive in the division race. The mets have to win 5 out of the 6 remaining games against the Braves. Then out of the remaining 17 they would have to go 12-5. Wich isn't that hard since they have already gone 13-4 in the past 17. The braves would have to go 8-10 in there last 18. That's not hard to imagine since the braves have gone only 8-9 in there last 17.
If that would happen Mets win division.....

Shhh...you'll roon it. ;)

Everytime there is "talk" of the mets even trying to contend, they play like....the typical mets. :(

I'm a mets fan and that's just what we put up with! Why almost everytime I go to a game they fucking lose! What sheer luck!

Better late than never for the Mets and their faithful. Early dreams of a rematch of a Subway Series were dashed when the Mets started out as pathetic as they did. But now, with renewed hope, maybe they'll correct all their earlier F' ups.

As a New York sports fan, I can't help but root for them to make the playoffs, just to make this city more exciting. But I cannot feel sorry for them because they don't deserve to make the playoffs. If any of the NL East teams were playing even decent, the Mets season would be over already (admittedly, it's like the Yanks of last year who won 87 games, only they went on to win it all). If the Mets finish spectacularly and miss out by a game, then I'll feel sorry; until then, pray for miracles.

I know there is no hope for you Met fans. It will probably suck when they get within a game and then just crash and burn. PUNCH OUT MAVERICK, PUNCH OUT!!!!

Ouch, the Mets were so close to probably gaining another game but Andruw Jones clubbed one out of Wrigley in the ninth to win the game, too bad.

But the goal of the race is to keep up when Braves win and try to gain games when they lose, so just don't lose tonight and all should be well. If the Mets indeed DO lose tonight, 8 1/2 is mathematically not impossible with nineteen games to go is a bit, unnatainable.

Hilarious! Teen week just out right funny.

Wait until the Magic Number is up for Atlanta to start showing off your comedic genius.

Will they do it? I would seriously doubt it.

Would I expected the Mets to be 17-5 in their last 22, I would have Doubted it alot more.

After the lost 7 in a row. I didnt think they would 10 games the rest of the year.

6 games left with the Braves.
