Well, if you want to get into cemantics, Bonds isnt taking strength-altering drugs like McGwire did. Bonds is in playoff contention while all of McGwire's HRs did nothin for his team in 98. I happen to like Bonds a lot and find it amazing that he has hit his peak so late in his career. A Yankees/Giants World Series would be sweet. "I don't want to meet someone who shares my interests. O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	Bonds ALWAYS has gotten walks; look at his career stats. Reports say Bonds is sour, but who here really knows him? All we can really say is he isn't media friendly. McGwire may be more prolific at homers (I saw the HR he hit 2 yrs ago at shea halfway up the scoreboard), but Bonds is the better all around player, probably was the best player in the 90's. If he breaks it, more power to him. It's not like its Brady Anderson going for the record.
