Ok, this being mainly a New Yorker site, I know there will be very few, if any Chief fans. Embarrassingly I am.

I had high hopes both before and after week one. It sucks to lose you home opener against a division rival, but at least they put some points up and made it very competitive. Tony Gonzalez look great. Rookie Minnis made some key plays, one of which was a game tying TD. It looked like Dick Vermeil was going to use a lot of different weapons.

Week two sucked for everyone.

Finally came week three. I know you Giant fans like to think you won that because you have remarkable talent. I feel that is not the case. I feel that Vermeil and the offensive coaching staff made completely stupid call. On top of that Trent Green looked for only ONE man down field, Tony Gonzalez. Giants needed only one task, be sure he is covered at all times.

Week four was a gimme. In my eyes, Washington is the new Boston Redsox of football. They will forever be cursed with bad management. At least not until that pathetic, typical frat boy owner of theirs runs the organization into the ground and ruins it forever. Beating them had no real joy, except for the fact of course that it was Martys team. My nightmare would be for him to go to a Superbowl with another team. That is a whole another post for a whole new day when it comes to my opinions on his Post Season roster decisions.

Now come a real test. They march into Denver, for the first time at their new stadium. A win would mean a lot not only for this season, but hopefully set the path for many more wins in that stadium. It all depends on this one question, can Priest Holmes actually be for real?

Stay tuned next week, for a follow up. I know none of you care but, that’s what makes this so much fun for me. I feel like I am spreading my good faith.

Broncos will win in a VERY high scoring affair. 31-28 minimum score...Chiefs defense is not that good, but i do like their offense.

i'm a chief fan also. i think they will play okay this weekend, but not win the game. teh offense looked great last week, but against a bad Redskin defense. I think midway through the year the offense will get going and they can win more games. once sylvester morris comes back....hopefully the end of this year, but more likely next year, they will have more weapons on offense. Minnis isn't going to scare anyone. and having a healthy derrick alexander will be nice also. good to see another chief fan

I used to be a Chiefs fan...back when they had the Nigerian Nightmare and when Dereck Thomas and Neil Smith dominated on defense. Once Marty Shottenhiemer (spelling?) left the team suffered and I haven't watched a Chiefs highlight in about three years.

I only care about the KC chiefs because Tony Richardson is on my fantasy team. Next week I will need a running back and it looks like he will start.

Looks like I'm going to have to root against my fantasy team this week. Trent Green is my staring QB, but I'm a life-long, die-hard Bronco fan. I actually hope its a lot worse than 31-28. I don't think I can take the stress. The only think keeping me from still being pissed about the Ravens loss is my birthday.

LOL...I bet you're right FB. I hate when I know more about a team than the people that claim to be "die-hard" fans. When the Braves started to get good in the early 90's, all of these so called fans came out of the woodwork. What pissed me off was that not one of them knew who Ken Oberkfell was (no, I'm not a Braves fan. Grew up loving the Mets thanks to WWOR).

to continue on this trend (and risk getting flamed) that's the problem I have with a lot of yankee blowhards. Real Yankee fans I have no problem with. It's the fair weather fans coming out of the woodwork that gall me.

I'm real curious how many stick around when the Yankees finally fail to make the playoffs.

Christian Okoye was also my favorite Chief. They also had Barry Word back then. He was good for a few years. I think it was Atwater who knocked Okoye out on one of the best hits i've ever seen.

It's hard to say that anyone is a bandwagon Chiefs fan. They haven't had all that much sucess. They did have a couple of good regular seasons (i think they were 13-3 twice), but they sucked in the playoffs. My worst Chiefs memory is Lake Dawson dropping a last minute catch in the endzone against the Colts one of the years the Chiefs were 13-3 and one game away from the AFC Championship game....the one time i thought they had a real chance.

Walking Joint its good to see another Chiefs fan around here. I disagree about Barry Word though....he fumbled alot. Okoye was a monster until the league learned his weak points.

Saying you "used" to be a fan of ANY team is like saying "I only tried sucking cock once I'm not gay or anything".

I bet somewhere in your closet I would find a Troy Aikman Jersey from 1994.

Sucks 2 B U. Hed is like the 5th worst rated QB so far this season.

I started watching the Yankees in the early 80's. My favorite player has always been Don mattingly. They sucked sucked sucked back then. But I always stayed a fan. Now I am just reaping the rewards of having my team win title after title after title.
