Four intentional walks in the last four games... and they all look like the second halves of them were intentional after the count started 2-0 and they said "fuck it, put him on base"...

Think Barry will get another fucking strike this week, let alone a home run?

The guy has been walked aout 15 times the last 4 games, and hit by pitches twice. He has already broken the walk record set by Babe Ruth of 170 walks in a season. And if he breaks the walk and HR record in the same year it will be an amazing feat. Hate him or not I would rather him have it that Mac. The man who i would most love to get it is Sammy Sosa cause no one loves the game more than Sammy (atleast out of the people who have a shot at 70)

But remember this the year mark hit 70 the cards were not in a pennant race and were losing games left and right and people were more caught up so naturally mac got pitched to. Barry has hit more homers in less at bats and is batting .320 compared to macs .298 in 1998. He has more RBI's and More walks. Plus almost 50 of his homers have either won a game or put them within one or tied the game. Plus Barry's team is in the penant race and will probably win it.

Plus bonds will be the first person in over 60 years to have over a .500 on base percentage and he is on pace to break Babe ruths slugging percentage for a season of .846 bonds is currently at .844 so it may not be as magical as 1998 but the guy deserves it.

Lets not forget barring sosa and babe ruth no one chasing the record was a media darling. Everyone from jimmie foxx, maris, mantle, griffey and mcgwire were all distant from the media.

It is a bit ridiculous that the only guy to pitch to him over the last 4 games is Billy Wagner. Guys don't want to go down in the record book as the pitcher who gave up the dinger.

all i have to say is...GOOD!! I really dont want this guy to break the record. Ive been laughing my ass off watching the Astros walk him over and over again, and all these idiots in Houston, as well as the broadcasters, getting mad. The broadcasters care only cause they want to be the one making the call of the 70th homer. May i remind everyone that the Astros are playing for first place too. They are tied with the Cards for 1st. So i think they want to win.

Arizona probably will do the same thing, which is fine in my book.

If Arizona is going to do the same thing, they are going to have to do it to Jeromy Burnitz as they close out the season against Milwaukee.

The Giants are playing the Dodgers this weekend at Pac Bell, and I do expect Bonds to get something to hit with the Dodgers out of it.

Ouch, i couldve sworn sportscenter said the giants were playing the diamondbacks. Brewers, Diamondbacks...they sound so alike lol. Personally, i dont expect anything from the Dodgers, who by the way, hate the Giants. You think they want to have anything to do with this FB? I dont think so.
