What's this??? Could this be really good game on a Monday night for the first time this year? I can not wait!

Something I read: The Rams and the Lions will have each played three games since the last time the Eagles have played. Just thought that was an interesting stat considering they only had one weekend off.

So, who wins this defensive battles after both teams having last second heart breaking losses in their respective last games??? I say the Eagles...
ummm 16 - 13 in overtime.

Okay.... go a head, abuse me....

Giants, no question about it. The Eagles havent beaten us in 9 straight attempts, and wont beat us this monday. If we can stop the Rams in St. Louis, we can sure as hell stop the Eagles at home.

Ummm...Why? That's like saying Jordan's due to have a bad game against the Knicks just because he's kicked their assess so many times. When you start hoping that someone should be due for a meltdown, it doesn't show that you really think the Eagles can beat the Giants.

Giants will win definitely. Mcnabb will have a good game though. He is my fantasy QB.

Giants, all the way. It's going to make 10 in a row. The Giants improved more in the offseason than the Eagles. I'm living down in Eagles country, and it sucks. Eagle fans are really morons. The Giants are going to win by at least 10. I'm thinking
Giants- 24
Eagles- 10

Your talking alot of smack considering your team is coming off a loss to the Cardinals??!! AT Home no less, The Giants almost and probably should have beaten the best team in Football on the road, and your team hasnt beaten the Giants since God knows when.

Im not even a Giants fan, Im just telling it like it is, Beat the team for once, or beat Arizona for God's sake before you start talking.

The Eagles have retooled the team just for the Giants game. Even though no one will admit it, this years Eagles team has been looking past all opponents to the Giants. Got caught napping against Arizona. Did ya notice, no offensive wrikles yet this year from the Philidelphia team? Keeping a lot of the plays under wraps just for the Giant game. Mc Nabb has only 12 rushing attempts in the last 3 games total. Ya think he may trot a few yards on Monday. I do. I am Looking for about 40 yards in rushing from him alone.
Oh and enough about the aweful Rams/Giants game. Remember, Week 1, the Eagles barely lost to the Rams. In fact, if the brand new center(fraley) and McNabb didn't fumble the opening snap. The Rams would not have scored a td in that game.

nj_voodoo = prime example of eagles fan with blinders obstructing his vision

Comeon man, although i know they want to beat the Giants badly and would make that a focalpoint in the offseason, you really expect me to believe that they are better than the Giants? First off, the Eagles offense showing no wrinkles??? Why couldnt they put Arizona away, who has a poor defense by the way.

2nd, yes you did play the Rams and you played them well. But, there are some differences between your game and the Giants game. a) The Giants offense did much better than the Eagles offense did, except for the fact that we couldnt put the ball in the end zone much. b) The Eagles defense was good, but the Giants defense was INCREDIBLE. 6 sacks after the Rams gave up 8 sacks in 4 games is incredible, and forcing Marshall to fumble twice and hurting him is incredible too. You will not see a defense stop the Rams like that all year, while they had all their guys nonetheless. 3) The Giants game was IN ST. LOUIS, on their home turf, with their home crowd, on their track field, i mean turf, while the Eagles game was in Philly, on your crappy stadium, with your (crappy :)) fans.

All that being said, how can you say with any kind of football knowledge that the Eagles will beat the Giants this monday night in Giants stadium?

See?! Eagles fans are fucking morons. They have been morons for years. Eagles are the ONLY Philadelphia team I won't root for. They will never admit the Giants are better than them, even after what, three or four years of losing EVERY GAME to the Giants? If the Eagles win, I'll give them due credit, but if the Giants win, I'm sure Snoteater and all the other loser Eagle fans will find some way to make excuses.

The only thing that counts is getting the ball into the end zone. It doesn't matter how well you run the ball up and down the field if you can't put points on the board. Or if you have no team disipline, for that matter. The Eagles Will put the Ball in the end zone more than the Giants will. If the giants couldn't score a TD against the Redskins for three quaters, how can score against the Eagles D?

I would like a nice high scoring game like Giants 42 and Eagles 38 with Mcnabb throwing for over 3 hundred yard and 4 touchdowns, with Chad Lewis maybe catching 2. The Giants get the win, and I do awesome in my fantasy league.

Speculating on the winner for a good Monday night matchup? Let them play the game!

This will be a tough game. The Giants are certainly the "haves" and the Eagles want what the Giants have. In recent years, the Giants have proven the obstacle between Philadelphia the wild card team and Philadelphia the emerging playoff contender.

The Eagles play the Giants tough ALWAYS- so do the Redskins, no matter the teams' records. The Giants do win their must-win games, however. Divisional games are must-win for the Giants, who are mightily pissed after the officials beat them last week.

Depending on the zebras' role in the game (and if fucking Pettigout can keep his feet still), the Giants SHOULD win, something like 24-14 or 23-17.. or, if both defenses are humming, 17-13 or 14-10.

As a Giants fan, I have to give respect to Andy Reid and his Eagles. McNabb is the real deal - possibly better than Daunte Culpepper - but the Giants have been together longer and that defense is looking a lot like Baltimore, only with more dimensions.

Either way, a great game to watch.

Let's look back at the last game played between these two teams.

20 - 10 Eagles playoff loss if I remember correctly.

Did any offense score an offensive TD? Hmmm... Well, yeah. Philly.

Forward to this year:

Defenses are about equal the way I see it.

Special teams, I believe the Giants may have a better skill players (punter and returner) in this dept.(When there not injured).

Offense: Gotta go with the Eagles. Last years team couldn't catch a cold or seperate their laundry more or less themselves away from defenders. Mc Nabb. well, he made bad decisions.
This years team... faster... oh, and they can catch and run.

Elimination of mistakes and this is a Eagles win. I am now upgrading my prediction.

Eagles 27-6

Voodoo, you start this thread three days ago and then come forward with Eagles, 27-6? Are you on dope?

If the Eagles win - and they have a good shot - it will not be a blowout.

Remember what I said about the Giants winning the games they have to? This is a must-win game. A defense that keeps the Rams out of the end zone (until the refs changed that) will certainly push the Eagles into the end zone.

So, perhaps we should score the game in twos, for all the safeties. The Giants might put up a field goal or two, and Sehorn might pick off another pass, so let's put it at 16 or 18 to 3... giving the Eagles a garbage-time 50-yarder.

Yes, I amended my pick to look slightly less ludicrous than yours.

And, for those of you scoring at home, I did not intend to double-post... I actually wrote twoTWO! different messages, but somehow the first message was repeated. First time that's ever happened to me.

ok, I agree...
My amended prediction is too much. How about this. Since, you seem to think the only way the Giants score is a pickoff or a safety.
lets say.... Eagles 12-3

Oh, by the way... how about my fantasy stars Trung Canidate and David Patton?
