Well it looks like the Lewis vs. Tyson fight is about to become official. I've heard from several sources that it should be official by next week if not sooner. April 6th will be the date and it's not certain whether they're will be a rematch clause in the contract. Both fighters stand to earn $30 million dollars each.

In other boxing news, Oscar De La Hoya vs. Fernando Vargas is almost official. Both fighters have already agreed on their purses and only the small details are being ironed out. Should be a great fight between two guys who can't stand each other. The fight will be May 4th in Las Vegas. Oscar will make $20 million to Vargas's $6 million plus PPV.

In other news, Felix Trinidad is coming back to the ring. He and HBO have set out a 3 fight plan that will take him to retirement. A week after Vargas vs. De La Hoya, Trinidad will fight undefeated African Harry Simon at 160 pounds. He will then take on the winner of the Vargas vs. De La Hoya fight in the Fall, and if he gets past that, he'll have a rematch with Bernard Hopkins. Keep in mind that Hopkins will likely fight Roy Jones Jr. in June, but that will be at 168, therefore even if he loses, he will still keep his 160 pound belts.

Delahoya and Vargas is set and finalized for may 4th as of today.

Don't forget this saturday on HBO there is a huge 130 pound super fight. Casamayor Vs. Frietas plus later this month Sugar Shane faces off against Vernon Forrest at 147.

Vinny Pazienza another title shot for the WBC super middleweight title. Plus the day before the superbowl we have the super embarassment, Butterbean Vs. William "the refridgerator" Perry in a 4 round fight.

In other news pernell whitaker was sentenced to 30 days in jail for an auto violation and plead guilty to cocaine possession.

Yeah, Casamayor vs. Freitas is a great fight. I think Casamayor is gonna outbox Freitas, look for it to be a replay of Mayweather vs. Corrales. The superior boxer usually finds a way to beat the slugger, although Freitas does have good boxing abilities.

I'm really looking forward to Mosely vs. Forrest. This will be Mosely first real test since the De La Hoya fight. I hope he passes it, and somehow gets a rematch with Oscar. In reality, it looks like Trinidad and De La Hoya will be fighting again instead, so maybe Mosely could fight Kostya Tzsyu at a catchweight.

Anyway, enjoy the fight tommorow night.

Mosley who should beat forrest in a great fight, I pick shane by late round KO, around the 11th. I'd rather see him take on the winner of Delahoya Vs. Vargas in which I am picking A split decision which can go either way but I am picking Delahoya, even though I want vargas to win. Mosley was going to move up to 154 if not for this Forrest fight so we'll see what happens. Either way we have several huge super-fights on the horizon.

I was thinking of flying out to Vegas to catch my first fight this year, but I can't decide which one. Morales vs. Barrera in March, Lewis vs. Tyson in April, or Vargas vs. De La Hoya in May. Hell Jones vs. Hopkins could happen in June, but probably not in Vegas. Hell of a good couple of months for fights in Vegas. I'll probably try and make it to De La Hoya vs. Vargas, that is the fight I've been looking forward to the longest, and the atmosphere at that fight should be as good as Trinidad/Hopkins was.
