Hockey has been a dead topic on the board lately but it should liven up now with this big game tonight. If the Rangers are going to break out of this Major Major slump, no better way than to walk on to the Island and beat the Islanders just like they did last time.

Im getting ready now to head out to the game, should be fun as always, and hopefully the Rangers will bring out the 3rd jerseys tonight, because in this 9 game stretch, 0 of them were with the 3rd Jerseys.

its all about karma.

And scoring some damn goals too, that usually helps. Heres to a Good Game, and a 4-3 Ranger victory.

Boy are things going wrong in Ranger land......F.B. is counting on a Jersey to win the game tonight?????? Better fill that jersey with some players under 30. Let's go Islanders.

I think the Isles take it 3-1, or 3-2. If Messier isn't playing, and Lindros (its been 50 games, sorry, so additional draft picks) is still worried about being physical, than the Rangers are screwed tonight, and for the rest of the year. They have a chance of not making the play-offs at this rate. I wish it was a national game, or that I had the Center Ice package again, I've been missing some good games.

Thank god the rangers finally have a "W". I'd wonder what Nassau was like when that goal in the 3rd wasn't allowed? At home watching it on MSG it clearly hit the post.

I was all the way up but behind the net and I thought it was a goal from there. I was pissed off. I still havent seen the replay, but I knew that when it was taking so long that things would go our way. Because if it was a goal, it would have been clear.

And the Islander fans had their hearts broken when it was not a goal and you get the usual the Rangers paid off the refs remarks from the great icelander fans.

I thought we were in for a very very long night, and I was cursing Ron Low for playing Blackburn in this game, but everything worked out in the end.

And who better to score the Game winning goal than Theo Fleury. gotta love it.

I don't know what to make of the game. Blackburn gave up that 1st goal, and it threw him, but Ranger defense was non-existant in the beginning. 1-0 became 4-1 before I could blink. middle of 1st rangers began to come back, but I couldn't really tell if it was Rangers playing better, or (more likely to me), Isles playing worse.

As bad as Blackburn was, Richter was good. By the way FB, Blackburn started because Richter was suffering from Flu, and they figured he couldn't go back to back - they wanted him to rest today and go vs. Bruins. Obviously that didn't work, but he was calming influence.

Disallowed "goal" hit top of crossbar, bounced above, and never crossed line. MSG did game instead of SC, and their camera work caught it all.

I'm sure the Islander fans were not saying anything about his past problems, right?? -- C-mon we all know the fans of another team can be down right mean to a player with a substance problem in the past.

of course the Islander fans were getting on him. One guy even had a Ranger Jersey with #14, with Crackhead stiched on the back. Its all in good fun, and they can say anything they want, I dont care. As long as we walk out of the building with 2 points, and they just walk out of the building.

And I dont blame the Rangers defense in the beginning. It was all Blackburn. He couldnt make a save to save his life. He was way out of a position on the 1st goal, and wasn't set to cradle the post. And the other 3, he was very slow with his catching glove and got beat top shelf on all of them.

Rangers also caught a break with the Isles having Snow in goal instead of Osgood, the way Snow played tonight the Isles would have been better off with DiPietro in nets.

The only thing you can say about last nights game is......Richter. He was amazing. The guy was makeing saves standing on his head. Pretty much every save he made was nothing short of spectacular. Being the rangers played horrible defense, People just skated in and fired away on him. I would of loved seeing the faces on the isles fans. You loose the game after leading by 3 goals. AWFUL! just AWFUL!!

Feels good to finally win in the new year. Great guts and determination shown by the blueshirts in this game after Blackburn decided to let the Isles get 4 goals quicker than I typed this sentence. But Mikey was excellent last night. Hopefully this will provide us with a spark that we havent had in a while.
