eavyweight champion Lennox Lewis says he won't fight Mike Tyson on April 6, but he could take on another challenger.

"The April 6 date is definitely out the window for the Tyson fight, but it may be OK for another fight," Lewis told BBC Radio yesterday. "Later in the year for a Lewis-Tyson fight, definitely."

If Lewis goes ahead with a fight April 6, his most likely opponent would be IBF challenger Chris Bird.

Tyson lost his bid to fight Lewis in Las Vegas on April 6 when the Nevada Athletic Commission voted 4-1 on Tuesday to deny him a boxing license.

Lewis has not ruled out the possibility of fighting Tyson outside the United States. South Africa, the Netherlands and Germany have expressed interest in holding the bout.

personally i think lewis might be a little scared, not just of tyson's fighting but also of what could happen during the fight. i will be pretty pissed off if there is no fight

Tyson is even more unpredictable than ever. Christ he could even take a chunk out of his throat.

Anyone else think tyson, might be afraid or have reservations of fighting Lewis. He has not beaten a good opponent since he faced Razor Ruddock back in 1991. He seems to due whatever he can to get disqualified, by biting Holyfie;d's ear, hitting after the bell, starting fights in press conferences. He definitely has a screw loose, but since he fought Buster Douglas and lost, he was never the same fighter he was before.

Now, he does this stuff outside the ring and crazy things, just so he can keep the title the baddest man on the planet. It seems, like he almost does not want to fight Lewis because he thinks he will lose.

He also says he has no friends and really the only people who say they are his friends are on his payroll and don't care less about his personal well being. He has many problems in his life and no one to help him. He keeps getting in trouble with the law and raping women, because he has nobody.

He really is a sad individual right now. I think he is one of the most overrated heavyweight fighters today.

He knows deep down that he isnt the same. He's been doing shit to get him disqualified for awhile when it looks like he's going to lose. Ever notice how he never seems to "snap" during a fight that he's winning.

Don't know about that one. He may not have the best "fight sense" in the world, but he still does have the best knock out punch in the biz. That still makes him a fearful opponent.

Thanks to Brokenjaw for the sigpic

Moss should have given the ball to his coaches to spike, or at least invited them onto the field to take part in the celebration, because they were the ones who made that score possible. But don't tell that to Randy, it would only take away from the glory he believes he deserves for being as great as he is. Click here for the whole article
