For their Super Bowl victory, because you just won your only title for the next century.

The rest of your teams blow.

Red Sox= forever losers. Yankees will wrap the Al East up by August.

Bruins=Now that's funny

Celtics= Bird retired a long time ago.

even though i am a HUGE new york fan (yankees, giants, knicks, islanders)- you really cant say it's gonna be a while till they see another championship, granted they have zero shot in baseball bc the yanks will prob wrap up the east in the begining of sept, but the bruins have one of the best records in the league and joe thorton is one of the best in hockey, so right there is a good shot and the celtics have pierce n walker and they are in 2nd place in the alantic division. who knows how far either team will go but dont say that they have no shot

"i hate people that dont get it!"

Bruins will not beat Toronto or Philly in the East. Detroit is going to win the Stanley Cup anyway. I am a rangers fan

Celtics, I like Pierce and Walker, but face it the East sucks and the Celtics are 4th right now. I am a knicks fan, feel bad for me. Besides the West will win again this year.

Red Sox just outright suck. I say they will be offically eliminated from winning the division, last week in August.

I just do not like Boston teams. I do not hate the city, just the teams and the fans (more directed to Red Sox fans).

It's the players that make a championship team. It's not the name of the team, the stadium they play in, or the city.

That's why I wanted to stab people who said that the Patriots were going to lose because they have a history of getting blown out in the Superbowl, especially in New Orleans. Are you fucking retarded? The 85, 96, and 2001 teams are completely different. Do you actually think that they're some mystical ghost that stays around with teams and either blesses them or curses them?

About no Boston teams winning anything for the next century... While the Celtics have two of the top 5 players in the East, they are still a big man and third scorer short from making any run at the East championship. Regardless, no one is going to beat the Lakers anyway barring an injury.

However, as for the Bruins, they're a great well-balanced very young team. The Wings have like 10 hall of famers, but they're all over 30. The Playoffs take a lot out of you, and to just say that no one's going to beat the Wings or Leafs is foolish. Didn't everyone say the same thing about the Mariners and Rams? In low scoring games like hockey, anything is possible.

As for the Red Sox.....Blah blah blah 1918, Curse of the Bambino, 1986 blah blah blah. There is no fucking curse. That curly haired faggot Dan Shaughnessy created that retardedness and keeps propagating it just so he can sell his stupid fucking book. What happened in baseball even the year before is pretty much meaningless becuase of the turnover in the sport. So, the Red Sox. With Cancer on the team, a dugout that was generally considered the worst recent baseball history, career-long injuries to 4 of their 5 best players, and the shakiest closer in baseball, the Sox still finished 2nd less than 15 games behind the Yankees who didn't have a major injury all year.

With the changes that have been made this season, to blindly say that the Sox have no chance of winning just becuase of what previous teams have done shows that you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to pro sports.

If the red Sox can finish less than 10 games back of the Yankees this year, I will be extremely impressed. The Red Sox made a couple changes, but the yankees brought in one of the top 2 or 3 players in baseball in Giambi.

OAA, you got a championship in football and congratulations for that, you deserved, but you have no shot in hell of ever competing with the yankees.

And pierce and walker are 2 of the 5 best players in the East. They are great. But do not rank both of them in top 5.

Let me see we have in no particular order:

Vince Carter
Michale Jordan
Jason Kidd
Allen Iverson
Ray Allen
Tracy Mcgrady

I know sports it is just i have an extreme bias towards boston teams.

I didn't really count to see what the rankings were, but since you did....Jordan and Carter are not in the top 5.

Kidd. Yep, probably the best.
I'd put Pierce second behind Kidd.
Tmac maybe second over Pierce but based on the numbers I've seen Pierce is better all around.
Iverson. He just shoots too much. He takes his team out of games often becuase of his horrible shot selection.
Ray Allen. He fucked the hottest girl in my high school.
Walker. Shot selection is as bad as Iverson and he's not nearly as good a shooter. But he's better on defense since he's bigger.

Carter is a pussy. He is a scorer and that's it. He plays no fucking defense, he takes no contact, draws no fouls. Just becuas he can jump high everyone labels him as this God. He's a greast scorer when no one is in his face, but other than that, he's a one-sided player and you can't compare him to the other guys you mentioned who all play great defense.

I think the Bruins have just as good a shot as anybody in the East. Only problem might be, can Byron Dafoe take them to the Finals? But its anybodys game in the East come playoff time, it will be wide open.

And I dont think Detroit has anything locked either, my money is still on Colorado to repeat.

you left stackhouse off the list. i think right now i'd rather have him then carter.
and as a pacers fan i feel you must also list jermaine oneal. i might even take him over twan just because of the position he plays, and as young as twan is, oneal is younger ;)
if it wasn't for isiah thomas killing jalen rose's game i'd argue for him, but he's having a subpar yr.

Illogical. Iverson leads the league in steals. There's no asterisk next to his name that says *yeah, but he's too small so it doesn't count. He's probably the best defensive player in the league. For that remark I hope you don't get your status.

Steals are an overrated category in defense. Sure, Iverson gets the ball a lot, but he also draws a lot of fouls be reaching in, and becuase of his agressiveness (which isn't a bad thing), when he goes for the ball and misses, it usually ends up in a great shooting opportunity.

For the record, I said that Iverson is better than Walker.

However, since Walker is a foot taller and about 100 pounds heavier than Iverson, he can block shots, rebound, and box people out better than Iverson.

Look at the points scored against. Iverson is most assuredly not the best defender in the league
