Anyone care about this anymore. Better question Can anyone name one player who is actually in it?

nope and nope..I think it's lost all its luster. I always liked the 3 point shooting contest better anyway but even that I don't care about anymore.

I'm too lazy to make a sig.

Ok I found all the participants. This should be the best one ever.
This ranks right up there with Jordan vs Dominique.

Steve Francis Houston G
Desmond Mason Seattle G-F
Jason Richardson Golden State G-F
Gerald Wallace Sacramento F

Only 4 guys, there has to be more than that. No Vince Carter, no Kobe, no Garnet, no T-Mac, and no Stackhouse. I would go as far as to say I actually miss seeing Isaih Rider in this contest. The NBA has it ass backwards on the dunk contest, they should start forcing people to compete.

Out of those 4, I'd pick Mason.

Moss should have given the ball to his coaches to spike, or at least invited them onto the field to take part in the celebration, because they were the ones who made that score possible. But don't tell that to Randy, it would only take away from the glory he believes he deserves for being as great as he is. Click here for the whole article

Kendrick Brown, Boston Celtics, F

Drafted 11th out of junior college due to his "athletic ability", which means:

1: He is a negro
2: He can jump really high
3: He actually sucks at basketball.

The only way they can bring All-Star Saturday back to where it used to be is do it like the NHL and only allow players that are all-stars to compete in the 3 point contest and dunk contest. that way we would know the people in the competitions

Francis can jam, but they need a little more than him to make this one exciting.

The Dunk contest used be good, until they pretty much ran out of original dunks. Plus w/ the stars (like VC and Kobe) not participating, its hurtin even more....but hey, its still better than 2-Ball.

I actually enjoy the slam-dunk contest, not as much as the home-run derby but it is still fun to watch.

I agree that steve francis would have won a couple years ago if Vince Carter wasn't a fuckin freak, Carter blew me away with his dunks.

Did anyone like the way it was run this year. I thought it was bullshit with that stupid wheel. I think people want to see orginal dunks. Not current stars trying to imitate legends.
