I know there is a thread I started about Ricky Williams going to Miami. But instead of having a bunch of threads about individual moves, I figured I would just start a all encompassing thread.

Ricky Williams is now a Dolphin. Great move for Miami.

Az-hakim now a Lion. WOW.

Terry Glenn a Packer. Great just what I wanted, Bret Farve to have another deep threat. Does Philly play them this year?

I hear that Duce Staley is on the trading block.

Warrick Dunn was in Philly yesterday and today. He is also looking at Detroit and Atlanta.

No.

The NFC East Teams will play the NFC West this year which is the 49ers, Rams, Cardinals, and Seahawks.

They will also play the AFC South. Titans, Colts, Texans, and Jaguars

Looks like Warrick Dunn is now a Falcon.
Finally, with him and Vick, Atlanta may be exciting outside its go go bars....

Philly added Blaine(so thats where the sports guy went ;) Bishop to their defense. Addition of another all pro was a great move at safety for them. WIL Shawn Barber was just added. This former Redskin has blazing speed and a real nose for the football. This defensive unit may be the best during the 2002 season.

Johnnie Morton was released by Detroit. He be picked up by another team extremely fast. Think, Arizona.

Donnie Abraham was released by Tampa Bay in a cost cutting move. This guy is probably the best cb in recent years. Think that the Colts will look at him? Maybe the Jets?

The Jets signed og Dave Szott. Nice. Curtis Martin and the Jordan kid will love this move.

Word from Chris Mortensen is that Drew Bledsoe is either going to be part of the Bengals or the Bills by next month. Personally i really want him to go to the Bears, but Mort says that the Bears are satisfied with getting Chris Chandler. So, i guess id rather see Drew on the Bengals, because they have a running game, and he can really get the passing game on track. Peter Warrick would become a stud at WR with Bledsoe there. Plus, it would be cool to see the Bungles actually become a good team again.

This is kind of old, but how stupid is Chris Carter. The rams wanted him bad as their third receiver and on his way there he sets up an interview with the Browns. So the rams tell him to take a hike.

Nice job jackass.

The Eagles effectivly "released" middle linebacker J. Trotter Friday night by removing the franchise player tag. This leaves Trotter free to negotiate and sign with any team with out the Eagle getting any compinsation. The Eagles have now freed up about 5.1 million dollars under this years saly cap.

Barry Gardner will now take the "mike" back spot that Trotter will vacate soon.

----- Good riddens, Dick.

I am so glad overrated Trotter is gone. He wasn't worth the money. How can people think he is so good when the Eagles run defense is so lousy? I know the line sucks against the run, but if Trotter was half as good as people say he is, he could have made up for it. I just hope that the Eagles find some one better the Gardner to replace him.

I am hearing thing from Philly...

On Friday, April 5, The Eagles were working a deal with the Cleveland Browns. They were trying to trade Trotter and wr Pinkston for wr kevin johnson. The Browns declined and the Eagles removed the franchise tag from Trotter.

Before that, I have heard that they were trying to deal Trotter and there was no,n one, not even a bit of interest in Trotter for the salary that he was asking for.

Jurevicius should be ideal fit in Bucs' attack

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Len Pasquarelli
ESPN.com

Still working at filling out a wide receiver corps depleted by free agency, the Tampa Bay Bucs on Monday took a key step when the team reached a contract agreement with unrestricted free agent Joe Jurevicius, one of the NFL’s biggest and fastest-developing players at his position.

Details of the agreement were not immediately available, but Jurevicius was among the best of the free agent receivers still available and had been sought by several teams. The St. Louis Rams were interested in him and the New York Giants wanted to re-sign him

Just saw the Bears picked up Chris Chandler. I think he will be the starter by midseson. I just don't think Jim Miller cuts it as a long term answer at QB and say what you want about Chandler being fragile but he will have a very good O-line in front of him.

Buckhalter out with torn ACL; Levens contacted

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Len Pasquarelli
ESPN.com

The regular season doesn't start for more than four months and already the Philadelphia Eagles, a franchise expected to seriously contend for a Super Bowl berth, have suffered their first loss of the campaign.

Second-year tailback Correll Buckhalter, the team's second leading rusher in 2001, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a Friday morning minicamp session and will miss the entire 2002 season. The injury occurred in a non-contact drill as Buckhalter, 23, stumbled after catching a short pass.

Eagles officials confirmed Buckhalter will require surgery to repair the tear. The normal rehabilitation period for such an injury is 9-12 months.

"No one hit him," said Eagles head trainer Rick Burhholder. "He just stepped the and ACL went. He stepped right, then stepped left . . . and the knee just buckled."

A fourth-round pick in the 2001 draft, Buckhalter carried 129 times for 586 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. He also caught 13 passes for 130 yards. His rushing yardage established a new franchise record for a rookie. Buckhalter was particularly effective in the post-season, as the Eagles advanced to the NFC championship game

Dorsey Levens will be brought in to replace Buckhalter.... That's what I am hearing...
