The LaFontaine Trophy is up for grabs so I guess it would be nice for the Rangers to win something.

its going to be tough for the Rangers to win with Dan Blackburn in goal. His worst 2 games of the year are the last time he played (vs. Atlanta) and the last time he played at the Coliseum.

The Rangers chances of making the playoffs were dim to begin with and now with Richter out they are going to be near impossible. And of course Richter would have never been injured, if he didnt play against Atlanta, like he shouldnt have. But an idiot of a coach will do that to you. Thank God only 9 more games left with that incompetent fool behind the bench.

With all that said, I wouldnt be surprised if the Rangers win tonight and then beat Philly, and then of course in true Ranger style, then go and lose to Florida and Tampa Bay over the weekend.

I will be there again tonight, and I usually walk away from the Coliseum very happy, so we shall see what happens tonight.

FB,
This could get ugly.
Of course I've given up trying to figure out what that damn Blueshirt team is going to do.

(of course it would be slightly enjoyable to stick it to the fishticks)

Now I could be setting myself up for a flaming but that's never stopped me before.

I have to disagree with you there. The Rangers had 10 or so games left to the year. With the moves that the Rangers made, they are shooting for the playoffs this year. And if you are 1,2 or 3 points out of the playoffs, your backup goaltender should never see the light of day. This is especailly true if the team you're chasing has games in hand. The Rangers have to be in Playoff mode in every game they have left if they want to beat out Montreal for the last playoff spot. The lose to Atlanta was horrible. It didn't seal the Rangers fate, but it was their season in a nutshell. They can't win the games they should.

Very big game tonight guys. As PD said this could get ugly, as most of these types of games end up being.

Blackburn coming up with a great performance tonight would boost up his confidence. Just looking forward to this though.

That may be true if you have a 25 year old #1 Goalie. Not when you have a 35 year old goalie coming off 2 straight knee surgeries, who cant play back to back and cant be overworked.

If hes going to take a game off especially when they played the previous night, you take off when your playing the worst team in the league. And if Blackburn started the game, maybe thing would be different if he was mentally and physically prepared to play.

This will be huge, but the Rangers have alot more on the line than the Isles. The Rangers have to win most, if not all, of the up-coming games. Here's where Blackburn can prove himself to his team. Atleast he's gaining experience in pressuring times. This will be a good game though, just like it usually is...

I have to agree with you there. It's pretty pathetic that they play that all the time. They must've played it 20 times after the first goal.

I didn't see all of this game cause I was watching RAW :o But I saw the first goal. The Rangers needed to win and they didn't, that's all I'll say...

i'm a very big ISLES FAN & all i have to say is the IIIIIISLES:
-pounded them
-humiliated them
-embarrassed them
-put THEM in their place
-crrrrrrushed them into little tiny nothings that they really are
-ripped their heads off
and last but not least
-put the nail right into the rangers coffin

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!!

Thanks to Austin for the sig.

Really? Wow considering that they scored the tying and game winning goals in the final few minutes off deflections on Ranger skates, I would say your right. They surely did pound them.

Obviously you know what your talking about.

Im not making excuse for the Rangers, thats the breaks and the Islanders got them, fine with that. But your ignorant to make those remarks.
