The goalie will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Richter, 35, was still feeling headaches Sunday after he took three significant blows to the head before he left Friday's game 2:20 into the first period. According to a report on Newsday's Web site,, the concussion symptoms subsided, but team doctors gave Richter to a CT scan Monday night with the result coming back Tuesday. "It's still hard to believe," Richter told the newspaper. "I've been hit in the head many, many times and nothing like this has ever happened. It's still sinking in." The news is just another string of sudden ends for Richter, whose last two seasons were both prematurely ended by torn ligaments in each of his knees. O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00	Quotes, you may THINK you Devs fans are harsh, and have a big rivalry w/ the Rangers, and so on and so forth, but this one has been brewing for 30 years! It's consisted of 4 playoff meetings in addition to the huge amount of regular season contests, most of which had a playoff atmosphere such as last night's game. O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00	I love when people say, "If it wasn't for (insert goalie's name here), it'd be 57-0 right now." If there was no goalie in net, all the shots would've gone in. Richter could've kept this 1-0 just as easily, as could have a lot of other goalies in the league. That's what they're paid to do, stop the puck. I mean if he wasnt injured, it wouldnt look as grim as it does right now. But without him they are so screwed. Poor Blackburn has to carry the whole thing on his shoulders. Sucks to be him i guess. O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01	Well the seasons over anyway, I think it was a while ago for them. Might as well give Blackburn some playing time. I would play Blackburn even if Richter wasn't injured. Mike was overplayed this year, he deserves a rest. Atleast this injury happened at the right time... One more for the good guys!

Are you watching the game. Through the first 2 periods, Blackburn has made numerous incredible saves that could have easily been goals. The Rangers are giving their usual no show defensive effort and on a normal night it would be 5 or 6-0 Flyers right now. And of course the Flyers get their 2nd goal off another deflection off Dave "Useless" Karpa, which was on a Power Play on a total bullshit elbowing call on Berard.

It is not nitpicking though, because although Blackburn is playing an outstanding game, there's no way to say that anyone else would have allowed 5 or 6 goals to this point. Sometimes goalies have good games, sometimes they have bad ones. This is a great one by Blackburn. Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01	I like Blackburn how many kids are in his position any time you want to trade him to the flyers feel free. Rangers need to give whoever's in goal a break. just my opinion. 6 goals a game and no defense means you lose 7-6 Because something is happening here But you don't know what it is Do you, Mister Jones?
