OH baby, a nice win against England on their home turf makes faceman a very happy guy today. Sorry crx and the rest of you limeys but today just wasn't your day :-p :-p :-p
Here is the happy recap:

LEEDS, England, March 27 (Reuters) - Substitute Vincenzo Montella converted an injury-time penalty to give Italy a 2-1 comeback victory over England in a friendly international at Elland Road on Wednesday.

Montella, whose AS Roma team were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool last week, had already scored a 67th minute equaliser three minutes after Leeds striker Robbie Fowler had put England ahead in front of his Elland Road fans.

He beat David James from the spot after the England keeper had tripped debutant striker Massimo Maccarone, who scored for the under-21s against England on Tuesday.

The defeat, the second under Sven-Goran Eriksson after a 2-0 friendly loss to the Netherlands last year at White Hart Lane, left his team winless in the three games since qualifying for the World Cup finals via another draw against Greece.

Both teams lacked bite in the first half with each side only having one real chance.

After 25 minutes, following a goalmouth melee, Sol Campbell hooked the ball goalwards from close range, only for Gianluigi Buffon to pull off a sharp reflex save.

Italy's best effort came five minutes before the break when Nigel Martyn parried a well-struck drive from Zambrotta.

It was all small beer for an Elland Road crowd that had given England a rousing welcome, confirming Eriksson's prediction that omitting Leeds' Jonathan Woodgate from his World Cup squad would not affect their reception.

Eriksson made nine changes at halftime, keeping only the highly impressive Bridge and Trevor Sinclair on for a closer look, and the World Cup possibles showed more bite.

Joe Cole had a hand in both goals, his dogged persistence in the tackle enabling to him prod a through-ball for Fowler, who comfortably tucked it home.

But the West Ham midfielder was also to blame for Italy's equaliser minutes later. When he lost possession in midfield, the ball was fed through to Montella and the Roma striker curled a superb 25-metre shot beyond James.

Montella then mis-hit a close-range volley and had a header smothered by James as Italy too pushed forward with more dangerous intent.

It was also Montella's neat turn and through ball that sent Serie B Empoli's Maccarone galloping on goal in injury time, a run ended by James's clumsy challenge and punished by Montella's cheeky dinked penalty.

Sometimes we can choose the path we follow.
Sometimes our choices are made for us.
And sometimes we have no choice at all.

Italy has a great shot of winning the world cup this year.

I hope they play with the same emotion they had 4 years ago.
