| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70  | well, boys and girls, it is all over for us again! Again it is another fuckin season of misery for us New Yorkers so we need someone to root for in the playoffs! Devil fans be forewarned, I am in a beyond pissy mood today and you will earn an automatic strike if you reply and defile this thread! I am pulling for Bourque and the Avs this year. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | I was and still am an all-around NY sport team fan. When my NY teams don't make it to the next step, I usually picked the state that was closer to us. NO WAY IN HELL I WILL EVER GO FOR THE DEVILS. If the Ranger management was sane...they would go and make some trades before the trade deadline. I don't see why they could work something out for Keith Kutchuck(i know i didn't spell his name right.)They could have put a package together for him and went to St. Louis to try and work out a Turgeon deal. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Turgeon is an unrestricted free agent, so why would the Rangers be making a deal for him now when if they are interested in him, they can sign him after the season. They didnt go after Tkachuck because Phoenix wanted alot for him, and the Rangers arent a Now Team, so what is Tkachuck going to do. Let the young guys have a chance. Bring up Brendl and Lundmark next year and lets go from there. I would much rather them go out next year and lose with the Kids, then lose with the overpayed Underachieving Veterans. | ||||

If a player is over 30, the NYRS have to keep the hell away from him.There is still a chance that Tkachuck becomes a Ranger cuz he is a free agent as well at the end os the season. Manegment is in dire need of making some drastic changes to the team. As much of a shame that it is and even though I think he is one of the greatest players evr to wear blue, Graves tine is done. Mess, fuck him. The locker room expertize he was supposed to return to the franchise did not fly this time around. I agree with Banger on the fact that we should bring up Brendel and Lundmark and take our chances with the kids. If we have a chance for Kieth K we have to take it but please for the love of God do not put that Fag Jagr in a Ranger jersey because he will defile the colors with all of his bitching and crying! | ||||

As a lifelong Islander fan, I'll spare y'all with any commentary on them since it's gonna take a year or two for them to get to playoffs (if lucky). Rangers should be moving older players to make room for youth, and to stick with youth. They are so deathly afraid of playing their future...but could it be any worse than they've done these past few years??? And fuck Tkachuk...get yourself a goalie. And some defensemen. You let up more goals than anyother team in NHL...and the numbers don't lie. They should take a page from the Avs and play their youth, letting them bloom. (Tanguay, Drury, Hedjuk) It is why Colorado is as good as they are. They develop they're youth well, and aren't fraid to play them. I'd also like to see Avs take it...but if NJ is their opponent, they don't match up well. NJ likes to shut down high octane offenses, and their offense is no slouch either. And, in the end, Brodeur is stronger than an older and slower Roy. But NJ getting past Toronto or Pittsburg ain't written in stone. Both teams are better than they were last year. Ill take an asshole who is going to be a superstar over a Nice guy who will be just average. And what team chemistry would Jagr be breaking in New York. Because they are just a well gelled unit out there. I dont think its going to happen because I think Jagr will wind up staying in Pittsburgh, but I would take him in a heartbeat and I dont think he is the bad guy everybody here is making him out to be. And Mario doesnt want to get rid of him because Jagr is a cancer, its because of their financial problems. And if Jagr feels slighted now. Wouldnt that be normal. I mean the guy is the Best Player in the World, and he takes a backseat like he doesnt exist because Mario Lemieux is back. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | The Rangers play in one of the most physical divisions in Hockey and Jagr can't take the beatings all the time. Sure, Pitt is in the same div. but once that Blueshirt is on, you might as well put a huge bullseye on his back! Shit changes when you enter the Tri state area. Plus, let's see how he does in the playoffs! Pittsburg's style is nice and pretty in the regular season but come Cup time, the East just gets over runned with defense. And, if Jagr was not such a prick, why would Mario move him asap? Not too many former Pens have said many good things about him as they leave town. Plus, it is well documented that he is a huge pain in the ass and Lindross is the same way.  | ||||
