This should make things even more interesting in the AFC east this year. And as the Jets lost all their DB's, Drew should have no problem lighting them up this year.

Light them up with what? His amazing speed and ability to get outside the pocket? Eric Moulds is pretty much the only option at reciever, and he is getting old now. Or... he could set up the pass with a great running attack by... oh wait the Bills have no running game/offensive line.

-Eric Moulds is 28
-Peerless Price is pretty underrated

that said, they'll still finish last in the division.

I don't think it will be enough to beat the Jets. No, I'm not saying the Jets are extremely good, it's just Bledsoe has no recievers and he hasn't been 100% healthy the last couple seasons. It'll be a tight one but I'll pick the Jets, I'll be fucking pissed if they lose the opener!

This sucks. The Bengals put no effort into trying to trade for him. No wonder we suck. Not that I didn't figure that out a long time ago.

Fuck Bledsoe! We just got to finish the job and kill him this year instead of just giving him a little internal bleading. All kidding aside, I am surprised that the Pats traded him in the division. They are not that great of a Super Bowl champ, and if he knocks them out of the playoffs, they are going to feel real fucking stupid.

I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker!

Hey we got Donnie Abraham now, with now two quick threats on the line at DE and one quick DT, the Jets will be tough to pass on...I think the way to win against the Jets now will be to run, so the Bills have practically no chance

I hope this gives him the moivation to prove to everyone, that he was the better QB, and that the Pats just fucked up.

It would be great if the Bills had a better record than the Patsies this year.

This trade really makes no sense to me, Why would they trade him to a team in their own division for only 1 first round pick which probably will be in the mid first round? You know bledsoe will be extra motivated to beat the pats. I cannot believe there was not one other team willing to give up a first round pick for Bledsoe

It is going to bite them in the ass just like Curtis Martin going to the Jets did. The Patriots won the Super Bowl this year with help from the officials in the raider game, but they can never beat the Jets.

Not to mention the just plain stupidity of there coaching staff. A starter should never lose his job becasue of an injury. This is just not right, and I am sure that bledsoe will be the one laughing in the end.

Well, im a Bledsoe fan for life, so i feel extremely happy for the guy getting a new start with the Bills. He will now have a chance to beat the team that traded him away, as well as beat on the Jets too. :) The offense should be great, could use a RB though. Defense will still be shitty, but that can improve over the next few years.

The Jets are more set at CB than people think. They have Donnie Abraham and they also signed Aaron Beasley from the Jaguars. Beasley is a good 2nd CB who is steady but lost time due to some nagging injuries. As for Bledsoe, he has Moulds and Price to throw to who are not bad at all, but the real lack of a running game (Sammy Morris, Shawn Bryson and Travis Henry are not a cast of RB's I would be confident in) and a still horrific O-line (Mike Williams might help some but they also signed Trey Teauge from Denver but the reason Denver let him go was because he did not play as well as they expected). Even though the signing of Bledsoe is a step in the right direction for the Bills, the O-line and the defensive problems will probably give the Patriots a good 1st round pick next year.

I was not commenting on the decision that they made, because as you pointed out it worked out in their favor, but I was rather pointing out how wrong their ethics were in that decision. A starter should only lose his position because of lack performance, and I thought that Bledsoe could have done the same job if not better job as seen in the game before that. Not to mention all the years he has been with the Pats, where the fuck is the loyalty. :-p

Well if they thought he was better, they would have started him in the Super Bowl. So obviously he DID lose his job due to lack of skill...

From ESPN.com:
quote:

Just last summer, the Patriots signed Bledsoe to a contract that, if all the options had been picked up, would have paid him an NFL record $103 million over 10 years; at the time, there was no doubt that the strong-armed passer who had turned the franchise around would finish his career in New England.

That is one huge contract to move for an NFL team. Tha Pats not only got rid of a very expensive backup player, they got a #1 pick out of the deal, and did not have to eat any of Bledsoe's money to do so. Given the size of the contract, the only only way to get rid of him would have been a team WAY under the cap, like the Bills. That's why they did it. Will it help the Bills? Yes. But it also gives the Pats 10mil per year for the next ten years to sign a free agent or two to fill a need position without losing anything but a high priced backup, who would have never played another game as a starter anyway.

Brady Bunch just fell into Bellichick's favor, and he did not want to mess with the chemistry that his team had develop with Brady, and it was not because Bledsoe could not preform. We will see who was right once this season starts.

Yeah we will see. But I'm not going to argue with you or place any bets cause I argue enough with Eagles and Giants fans. I'll just tell you right now, the Bills might improve, but no way the Pats will be bad enough to fall behind the Bills...
