Yesterday MSG announced there will be a new radio team for Jets football; Howard David already left for Miami (I think), and Jennings will not be the color man (they did offer him "another job in the organization"). They want to get another former player, and it looks like they are looking for a "homer". (no, not THAT Homer)

Jennings was kinda like the McCarver of football - No one knew the rule book better, and he told it like it is, even if it went against the Jets.

I for one will miss his insight. I hope one day TV is smart enough to give him a shot.

My question is if MSG owns the rights to radio how can he be fired by the Jets? This is an outrage. Dave Jennings was the best local sports color analyst. None more better.

And Jennings would have fit in well with any of the canditates that will likely replace him. I hope they bring in Wishusen for play-by-play, but no one can fill Dave's shoes.

I guess we all agree, Jennings=more gooder. When I had my season tix (Back in the Joe Walton days, god am I getting old) I hated that he came over to us. He was a Giant in my mind, but, I grew to like him as an announcer. Wonder who the ex-player is who will replace him? Most ex-jocks blow in my opinion (god does Seaver blow, and is Hernandez a fag of just sound like it?).

I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker!

Most likely to replace him is Marty Lyons (who replaced him on MSG's Jets Journal), Freeman McNeil, or Wesely Walker.

Teams now don't respect the fans; they don't want anyone dissing the team, even if it is the truth.

Today's rumor has Giants looking to add Jennings to their booth as a third man.

2002 Crack Committee Objectives: (You gotta believe....)
1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year
2. Hate the Braves with PASSION
3. All 5 Starters have winning records this year
4. Mets win World Series
