Watching the WB news, and they are interviewing David Cone at spring training in a Sawx uniform.

Man, I just got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Well, let's hope he goes 4-14 for the Sawx this year.

Dude... I could never wish for a losing record for Coney.... he's too hometown, man. Same thing for Boomer. They'll always be Yanks to me.

Cone is going to get rocked in Fenway. He should of just retired. The Sawwwwx may score some runs but besides Pedro, they are lacking pitching. If it was 1995 that would be another story because then they could rely on Nomo and Cone, but add another year to the Red Sox Curse this year.

ClusterF - remember that Wells didn't want to leave, Cone left on his own!

The way I see it, they are both the enemy now. Whether they wanted to leave or not, they are the enemy.

Lipper.... I would have wanted to leave too if I was Cone. He wasn't performing well, he was getting trashed in the media, he didn't start in the post season, etc. He knew things weren't looking good, so he bailed. But that doesn't take away from all the good things he's done for that team over the years. That's why I don't have any hostility towards him for leaving, and I guarantee that once he returns to the Bronx in an Sox uniform, he gets applause.

Kerrigan is known for resurrecting careers and I have full confidence that Cone will have a couple more decent seasons before he quits, and I think he'll be able to help us sox out this year.
