Hideo Nomo just blanked the Orioles, throwing a no-hitter at Fenway Park. It was his Red Sox debut, and is the 2nd of his career.

P.S. It was at Camden Yards.

Quite a performance and the first no-no in 36 years for the Sox! Maybe it's an omen... Boston Fan, comment? :)

Ha! Yeah right, The Redsox wont win 80 games.

And this is his 2nd No-Hitter. He had his first at Coors Field of all places.

And Nomo just another Ex-Met to pitch a No-Hitter. Nomo,Ryan,Gooden,Cone, Are the Mets ever going to have a No Hitter? God, 40 F'n Years, and we cant get just one!!.

And was there a no hitter in Baseball last year? I dont recall one, does anybody know if there was. Thats something, 3rd day of the season, and we have one already.

Now if Nomo can pitch like that against a GOOD team...maybe, possibly, perhaps the Sox might be able to be in the wild card race.

I couldn't fucking believe it. This redsox fan comes running into my room going, some japanese guy's throwing a no hitter! I was like, no not nomo. Can't be. And boom, there he is, that tornado winding bastard.

As for 86 repeat. It's going to be tough. The bosox need nomar if they're going to get past the yanks. and for mets, phillips should deal something during the season.

Being a Dodgers fan, I've been a Nomo fan for a number of years now. Good job by him. 2 other quick notes: His firs no-hitter came in Coors Feild which is no easy task. And he is only the 3rd pitcher to pitch a no-hitter in both the Al and NL.

i defintely say syndication will come first because to steal a phrase from the WWF's Chris Jericho, the Boston Red Sox will NEVER, EVEEEEEERRR win the World Series in our lifetimes, our children's lifetimes or probably even our grandchildren's lifetime.

Red Sox suck!!! Yanks 2-0 and they get Mussina tonight. Go Yankees!!!

The Red Sox are fucked one way or the other, but they have to get thrown a bone every once in a while....it can only go downhill from here for them

Baltimore is so bad, I think Darryl Strawberry while on one of his crack binges could throw a no hitter. Red Sox will not make the playoffs.

Francine - there were no no-hitters in 2000. the last one before nomo was in september of 1999 when Eric Milton Threw a no-hitter for the Twins against Anaheim.
