What the fuck is this? I thought we dropped our shitty middle relief when we got rid of Rich Rodriguez. Yeah Brian Rose.....good pick up, gives up three fucking homeruns...son of a bitch!

Looks like the bullpen was out late at those wonderful Montreal strip clubs last night

No, he had a brilliant 1st inning, but that was it. It's going to be times like these when we wish we had Pat Mahomes to chew up 3 or 4 solid innings.

Well the 4th starter for the yanks wasnt so hot tonight either. Cristan Parker. Gave up 6 runs in 2 1/3 innings. Last score I saw the Yanks were getting killed 13-4.

IT"S THE 4TH GAME OF THE SEASON. Calm down... First of there was 47,000 in Montreal tonight... Tomorrow's game should have about 4,000. If Glendon doesn't bounce back and the bullpen doesn't turn it around in a couple of weeks then start bitching. Remember baseball is a marathon and not a quick race like football. There are 157 games left.

Two reasons why "There's 157 games left..calm down" isn't appropriate in this case:

1. Rusch is the Mets fourth starter. He got rattled badly by the Montreal crowd. That's not good. With a fragile third starter(Reed gets hurt every year) and no Hampton, Rusch needs to be solid this season.

2. The National league hasnt gotten any worse in the off season. The West is especially good with the Giants, Diamondbacks and Dodgers. The Mets arent the lock for the wild card and, despite their performance in Atlanta, they're not a lock for the division either. So, unlike the Yankees, the regular season actually means something. And with Traschel pitching today, the Mets might lose the series.

The bullpen wont be the problem, the starters will if Rusch is going to have another 11-15 season. The Mets need 15 or more victories from Rusch to ensure a playoff spot.

With the extra divisional games, there is no room for error, especially early in the season, and especially to the Expos. Yes, the Mets are notorious for slow starts, two out of the last three years they've started 20 - 20, but this is one time when they need to get on pace uquickly.

Yeah, last nite was painful to watch. When we were up 4 after the top of the second, I already penciled in a win for Rusch in O&A fantasy baseball, oh well. You know what have been real good last night? The Expos catcher doing a Owen Hart during the pre-game cerimonies. ::{ in Snukas voice "ouch" }::

I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker!

I knew Steve Trachsel sucks.
This is not a good sign.

20 Runs in 2 Games? And the Mets get 2, TWO Hits Today. They need another Bat BADLY!!!

They need to settle in. Fonzie and Zeile usually have a slow April, but they had better snap out of it quickly.

On the bright side Atlanta lost 2 out of 3 to Florida, and with a win over Atlanta tomorrow on Opening Day, the Mets will be ahead of the Braves.
