This is a tough one since he never really warmed up to the fans and never delivered the title but I think you gotta give him the standing O bec he left his heart on the floor every night and got us deep in the playoffs every year and he wasnt exactly playing stiffs (jordan and the bulls) in the playoffs. the guy gave us 15 years and we gave starks and Oak nice welcome backs so I think Ewing deserves it too.

I'm not a Knicks fan. But Ewing gave them many good years despite never comin up w/ a title. I would say the Knicks fans should give him the standing-O.

I say they will give him a cheer. NY fans, tough as they may be, are knowledgable and will accord him a welcome worthy of a Top 50 player of all time/future HOF.

He may not have been outgoing, but he did help them to 2, TWO shots at the title

I think the Garden should all get in line and suck his dick!

One, that would make a pretty original sports center high light film! Can't you just see the look on Dan Patrick's face....

And on a serious note, he helped make the team younger and more of a legit contender by agreeing to go to Seatle! He may have helped them go to the 94 championship game but I do recall his unwillingness to put himself out there and kept passing the ball to that fuckin grocery store employee of the month down the stretch!

And Thats The Bottom Line.....

I dont think there is any doubt that he will receive a Large Ovation from the Knicks fans. There is no way they will boo him. Both the Knicks and Patrick have moved on and you have to commend the guy for what he did for the franchise despite not being the fan friendliest of people.

Sean Cold,

We're left to ponder this huge what-if:

Why didn't Reilly give Rolando Blackman a chance, especially after Pathmark Starks was 1 for forever...we'll never know, but Reilly should've known Starks was off, because he's always been feast/famine, and on this night he was fukin' starvin ! ah, what the F

I really don't give a fuck about Basketball, but from what I know, Patrick the Gorilla gave them a lot of good years, even though no championship. I think it would be in good taste to give him a standing.

ewing deserves a standing ovation. that guy was the heart and soul of the knicks from when he was drafted until 2 years ago. he played his hardest every night and the reason he didn't win a title was because he was going up against jordan and pippen every year lacking a solid supporting cast. i'm glad he was traded because he wouldn't have accepted a lesser role, but without him leaving it all on the court in that game 5 against miami, the knicks wouldn't have made the finals two years ago.

He played hurt and he gave plenty of effort. So if you are at the Garden tues. night show some class and give the man his props.

To Sean Cold and Rommel about Starks. True True. It still fucking hurts.

First of all, Sean cod, I am still laughing at that post, funny shit. Now, if anyone boos Ewing they should never be alowed in the Garden again. I know they did not win a championship with him, but guess what Knick fans, we have not won one since 1973. Is that all his fault. Fuck, the guy was on the greatest 50 players in the history of the N.B.A.. Think about that, 50 GREATEST EVER!!!! He is the Knicks all-time leading scorer. The guy was a great player, so treat him as such. Anyone privledged enough to have tickets shoould show there respect and give him a standing O. This is not like the Pat Riley situation where he abandoned us in mid contract for more $ and a piece of the team. Lets go Knicks, and welcome home Ew.

I think they should definately boo him, especially after he was so nasty to poor Sue Ellen mind you I never did find out if it was her that shot him. So how does he come back was it all a dream or something?

I wasnt giving you the Dillon. I had already responded anyway. I was giving the Dillon to the person above me who was making a lame "Dallas, J.R Ewing Joke".
