Steve Phillips is an asshole who makes excuses to not get good free agents, (Ie David Wells, Alex Rodriguez). Don't give me this bullshit about the Yankees buying their World Series titles, because all the big market teams have the same chance the Yankees do. The Dodgers, the Braves, the Red Sox, the Orioles and the Mets all have viable opportunities to get high quality free agents or make trades that can help them. Most fuck up or would rather make as much money as possible, while Steinbrenner invests his money into his team.
