I'm driving home tonight and I'm stopped at a light on Cross Bay Boulevard, and this convertible stops next to us, and there a couple of kids in the car, and the music is pretty cool(I got the Breuer CD playing) Then she starts to sing. I didn't know a human, without synthesizing the voice could sing like a Smurf. The tones and pitches this lady was hitting were amazingly obnoxious, and the nasaly whine in which she sang led me to cringe. It's the same thing with Arab music, I can't understand how you can ruin a good melody by singing like you're being cornholed....Discuss...

Ya know, even though some of us find it horrendous, I'm sure they can say the same about our music and our singing.
It's a product of the environment and society, so to speak.
