Through my puny 30x telescope. It was an orange dot, maybe 1mm wide.

Still. Coolest fuckin thing ever.

Look up over the next few nights.... no one you'll ever know in your life will ever see it come this close in their lifetime, if they miss it now.
got any coordinates?

at least, should we be looking North south east or west? how high in the sky is it? what kind of angle?

as I was walking on the beach saturday night, I swear it was out in the distance, eastward...would that be it then?

is it out east?

yes mars is due east of earth Tongue
All i saw was a plane.

::kicks rock::

Wait, we were supposed to look west right?
thats so fucking cool, im loving this mars thing....thanks for the heads up Smile
Heh, you guys are killing me, it's only the brightest object in the sky. It looks kinda orange, and it's in the Eastern sky, and was maybe 40 degrees up when I looked. Of course, it gets higher during the night, so if you look earlier, it'll be lower... later, it'll be higher.

But as I said, if you look up, it's gonna be the brightest thing you see, unless Venus is out, which I don't think it is around now...
I can see Uranus!!!!

wakka wakka wakka

Isn't that called "Sunrise"?

Since Mars is a mens planet, and its closer than ever, do you think us men are gonna go a little nutty, like people during a full moon?

Just look to the left of Seti Alpha 5.

It's right there.

You can't miss it.
