"Filthy" is a strong word.
My advice is to rent the movie "Disclosure" and see if you can't come up with some nifty ideas.

[talking into voice recorder] NOTE TO SELF: Never ask for serious advice from the people on ymb.net. [/talking into voice recorder]
Why do you say the situation is bad? And, if you think it's bad, why are you in it?

That being said, I agree with Barry, you never know what can happen. I hope your workplace doesn't have any rules about dating co-workers or you could both get in a lot of trouble...no matter how discreet you may think you are.

Why would you want to date someone 17 years older than you? That's just icky...unless it's Kurt Russell.
Is it serious?
Do you 2 go on dates and such?
Or just f' on the desk after hours?
How long has he been divorced?
Did you 2 start before the divorce?
Yeah!
We want to know.

just be careful. I mean the guy is old enough to be your dad. If he's not divorced, or the ink isn't dry on the documents, proceed with caution. There's always the possibility that him and the wife could patch things up.

you seem to be more worried about the age difference then anything....which shouldnt be the case at all. age means nothing, however, you are totally screwed if this thing goes badly. sleeping with your boss is a bad bad bad idea.
