Advantage: They've already done the <i>X-Men</i> series, so they have a handle on superhero movies.
Disadvantage: They are also responsible for <i>The League of Extraordinary Gentleman</i>, so maybe their "handle" on superhero movies isn't that great.

I, for one, don't see how they could possibly pull it off. The anime was such an incredible mindfuck, there is no way live-action could hope to duplicate it accurately.

I agree, all of these would have to be done in such a specific way that I don't think a method has been found that could duplicate anime style drawing into live action yet.
It will be interesting to see how they THINK they are going to get away with it though.
